Au (100) Surface Reconstruction

Physical Review Letters, 1986
We study the structure of the reconstructed Au (100) surface, using a phenomenological Hamiltonian, including a many-body force term (the "glue"), carefully optimized to account for a vast variety of properties of solid and liquid gold. The optimal atomic configuration of (100) slabs is obtained by a molecular-dynamics strategy.

Ocular surface reconstruction update

Current Opinion in Ophthalmology, 2002
Ocular surface reconstruction (OSR) is now a standard procedure in the treatment of severe ocular surface disorders. The past few years have revealed the long-term results of patients who were operated on during the early stages of OSR development, and we now have a more realistic view of the benefits and limits of the procedure.

Surface reconstruction and surface magnetism

Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, 1992
Abstract Surface lattice relaxation including changes of interlayer spacings and reconstruction is theoretically investigated in magnetic transition metal thin films with a nearly half-filled d band. The c(2 × 2) surface reconstruction with 〈001〉 atomic displacement is found in bcc(001) films with surface-induced antiferromagnetism.

Surface and normal ensembles for surface reconstruction

Computer-Aided Design, 2007
The majority of the existing techniques for surface reconstruction and the closely related problem of normal reconstruction are deterministic. Their main advantages are the speed and, given a reasonably good initial input, the high quality of the reconstructed surfaces.

Ocular surface reconstruction

British Journal of Ophthalmology, 2011
The ocular surface disease that results from corneal epithelial stem cell deficiency poses a difficult management problem. From the patient's perspective the eye from has little or no vision, is often cosmetically unsatisfactory, and may be uncomfortable or painful. The clinical consequences are recurrent or persistent epithelial defects that place the

Augmenting Surface Reconstructions

2016 IEEE International Symposium on Mixed and Augmented Reality (ISMAR-Adjunct), 2016
The reconstruction of a scene is a fundamental task in many AR applications. Only a dense and complete surface representation enables realistic AR interactions, like occlusions and collisions. The reconstruction of arbitrary scenes is an important issue and many approaches have already been proposed.
