A New Technique for Forecast of Surface Runoff

2010
Wet-and-low water changes of surface runoff have always been the focus of various researches. Regional water bodies are already being challenged by economic development. Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) deal with information through interactions among neurons (or nodes), approximating the mapping between inputs and outputs based on non-linear ...

Efficient treatment of surface runoff

Vodosnabzhenie i sanitarnaia tehnika, 2023

Some relationships between slope‐length, surface‐runoff, and the silt‐load of surface‐runoff

Eos, Transactions American Geophysical Union, 1935
The problem of slope‐length as it affects surface‐runoff and silt‐load has a number of interesting phases. These are related to the fundamental laws of hydrology as well as the practical control of surface‐runoff. It has often been assumed that both the percentage of runoff and the total erosion are greater on long than on short slopes.

Study of surface runoff characteristics

Vodosnabzhenie i sanitarnaia tehnika, 2023
Представлены результаты исследований поверхностных сточных вод (дождевых и талых). Определен качественный состав поверхностных сточных вод с различных территорий водосбора в городской среде для последующей оценки возможности их разделения, локальной очистки и повторного использования.

On the regulation of surface runoff handling

Vodosnabzhenie i sanitarnaia tehnika, 2022

Laboratory Experiments with Surface Runoff

Journal of the Hydraulics Division, 1974
KINEMATIC WAVE AND INSTANTANEOUS UNIT HYDROGRAPH CONCEPTS ARE USED TO PREDICT OVERLAND FLOW HYDROGRAPHS. LABORATORY CONDITIONS SATISFIED IDEALIZED ASSUMPTIONS OF THE TESTED MATHEMATICAL MODELS THAT THE HYDROGRAPHS CORRESPOND TO DIRECT RUNOFF RESULTING FROM RAINFALL DISTRIBUTED UNIFORMLY IN TIME AND SPACE OVER A RUNOFF PLACE WITH A CONSTANT SLOPE.

Surface Runoff Hydrograph Equation

Journal of the Hydraulics Division, 1974
Bloomsberg’s equation for the description of surface runoff hydrographs is modified and a methodology is developed to express the shape and profile of rising limb, crest segment, and recession limb of a hydrograph in algebraic terms. Variables of concern for such a description include time to peak, peak rate of runoff, point of recession, recession ...

A laboratory investigation of surface runoff

Journal of Hydrology, 1975
Abstract A laboratory study of a kinematic wave model and Nash model is presented for a converging surface. The interdependent behavior of kinematic wave parameters is shown and based on this observation an experimental justification is given for retaining only one parameter in the kinematic wave model. It is observed that an objective function based

A Solution to the Surface Runoff Problem

Journal of the Hydraulics Division, 1967
Surface runoff hydrographs are computed by a relatively simple method consisting of reducing the governing partial differential equations to ordinary differential equations at several nodal points along the flow plane. These equations are then solved for the time derivatives which are used in Taylor's series to approximate the velocity and the depth ...
