In most climates, soil erosion is governed by the surface runoff of water during excessive rainfalls. Thus, numerical models for the simulation of surface runoff provide a key to quantitative modeling of soil erosion.

Surface Runoff Hydrograph Equation
Journal of the Hydraulics Division, 1974Bloomsberg’s equation for the description of surface runoff hydrographs is modified and a methodology is developed to express the shape and profile of rising limb, crest segment, and recession limb of a hydrograph in algebraic terms. Variables of concern for such a description include time to peak, peak rate of runoff, point of recession, recession ...

Study of surface runoff characteristics
Vodosnabzhenie i sanitarnaia tehnika, 2023Представлены результаты исследований поверхностных сточных вод (дождевых и талых). Определен качественный состав поверхностных сточных вод с различных территорий водосбора в городской среде для последующей оценки возможности их разделения, локальной очистки и повторного использования.

Efficient treatment of surface runoff
Vodosnabzhenie i sanitarnaia tehnika,

Surface‐runoff and infiltration
Eos, Transactions American Geophysical Union, 1945The terms, “surface runoff” and “infiltration,” which form the title of this paper, are usually associated with a piece of land and the precipitation falling upon it. They suggest that this ground is porous, that part of the water will infiltrate into it while the rest runs off along the surface or evaporates.

Runoff Phosphorus Losses from Surface‐Applied Biosolids
Journal of Environmental Quality, 2005ABSTRACTRunoff losses of dissolved and particulate phosphorus (P) may occur when rainfall interacts with manures and biosolids spread on the soil surface. This study compared P levels in runoff losses from soils amended with several P sources, including 10 different biosolids and dairy manure (untreated and treated with Fe or Al salts).

Surface Runoff Model Formulation
2016Hydrologic and environmental processes are distributed in space and time. Simulation of these processes is made possible through the already well-developed spatial data analysis and management techniques of a GIS. Digital maps of soils, land use, topography, and rainfall are used to compute rainfall runoff in each grid cell in the drainage network.

Laboratory Experiments with Surface Runoff
Journal of the Hydraulics Division, 1974KINEMATIC WAVE AND INSTANTANEOUS UNIT HYDROGRAPH CONCEPTS ARE USED TO PREDICT OVERLAND FLOW HYDROGRAPHS. LABORATORY CONDITIONS SATISFIED IDEALIZED ASSUMPTIONS OF THE TESTED MATHEMATICAL MODELS THAT THE HYDROGRAPHS CORRESPOND TO DIRECT RUNOFF RESULTING FROM RAINFALL DISTRIBUTED UNIFORMLY IN TIME AND SPACE OVER A RUNOFF PLACE WITH A CONSTANT SLOPE.
