Thermoelectric PANI/TeNWs Fiber Based Microsensor for Passive Temperature and Active Chemical Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Continuous wet‐spinning of PANI with TeNWs yields a multifunctional microfiber. Oriented TeNWs impose chain alignment and enhance π‐electron delocalization, boosting the Seebeck coefficient to 59.9 µV K−1 for passive temperature sensing (1 K detection limit), while achieving high pH sensitivity (59.25 mV pH−1) and rapid NH3 response (0.96 s).

The Effect of Row Structure on Soil Moisture Retrieval Accuracy from Passive Microwave Data

open access: yesThe Scientific World Journal, 2014
Row structure causes the anisotropy of microwave brightness temperature (TB) of soil surface, and it also can affect soil moisture retrieval accuracy when its influence is ignored in the inversion model.

High Tree Species Diversity Promotes Thermal Enhancement Response of Microbial Carbon Use Efficiency

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Predicting soil carbon dynamics under warming is constrained by limited understanding of microbial thermal adaptation, particularly whether microbial carbon use efficiency (CUE) can adapt to warming and how plant diversity modulates this response. Using soils from a natural tree species diversity gradient in a subtropical forest, we combined a

Impacts of Soil Moisture on Typical Frontal Rainstorm in Yangtze River Basin

open access: yesAtmosphere, 2016
By using a coupled land surface-atmosphere model with initial conditions of varying resolution and ensembles of systematically changed soil moisture, convective-scale simulations of a typical frontal rainstorm in the Yangtze River Basin are collected to ...

ESSMRA V1.1: 3 km surface soil moisture reanalysis over Europe ( 2000 - 2015)

open access: yes, 2019
High-resolution soil moisture (SM) information is essential to many applications in hydrological and climate sciences. Here we present a 16 years (2000-2015) high-resolution surface soil moisture reanalysis (ESSMRA) dataset over Europe from a land ...

Single‐cell Transcriptome Profiling Reveals Gene Regulatory Networks and Key Genes in the Root Epidermis and Cortical Cells Associated with Early Nodulation in Glycine Max

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Single‐cell transcriptomics of soybean roots soon after rhizobial inoculation reveals epidermal and cortical cell‐specific programs and gene‐regulatory networks acting in symbiosis establishment. We identify an ethylene‐driven regulatory circuit involving WRKY6.3/6.4 transcription factors targeting select Nod19 genes that promotes infection‐thread ...
