Surface Tension and Adsorption Studies by Drop Profile Analysis Tensiometry [PDF]
AbstractSurface tension and dilational viscoelasticity of solutions of various surfactants measured with bubble and drop profile analysis tensiometry are discussed. The study also includes experiments on the co‐adsorption of surfactant molecules from a solution drop and alkane molecules from saturated alkane vapor phase.

Physical-chemical approach to the calculation of adsorption characteristics of low molecular components of blood of the patients with heart failure [PDF]
Background and Objectives: Despite the fact that the methods of dynamic interfacial tensiometry and rheology are used to study blood and other biological fluids, in medicine there is no unified approach in the methodology of analysis and interpretation ...

X-ray micro-CT imaging to study foliar water uptake mechanisms in plants with contrasting leaf topography. [PDF]
Summary Formation of an aqueous continuum from the leaf surface to the sub‐stomatal cavity is a key process, affecting the foliar entry of solutes, particles, and pathogens. However, the factors controlling the transition from a water droplet to the formation of a continuous water film remain poorly understood.

In drop profile analysis tensiometry, the ratio of drop surfaces area S to volume V is large, i.e., S/V >> 1. In such a case, the concentration of a surfactant within the drop bulk decreases due to adsorption at the drop surface.

Surface active properties of lipid nanocapsules.
Lipid nanocapsules (LNCs) are biomimetic nanocarriers used for the encapsulation of a broad variety of active ingredients. Similar to surface active compounds, LNCs contain both hydrophilic and hydrophobic parts in their structure.

Particles adsorbed at various non-aqueous liquid-liquid interfaces [PDF]
Particles adsorbed at liquid interfaces are commonly used to stabilise water-oil Pickering emulsions and water-air foams. The fundamental understanding of the physics of particles adsorbed at water-air and water-oil interfaces is improving significantly ...

Development of a new composite surface tensiometry parameter for quality evaluation of the maturation process of peloids by contact angle method [PDF]
With the introduction of the rheological and surface tensiometry approaches, peloids started to be viewed as a geological complex system that needed to be characterized in an integrated way.
