Mapping the ultrastructural topology of the corynebacterial cell surface.
Corynebacterium glutamicum is a diderm bacterium extensively used in the industrial-scale production of amino acids. Corynebacteria belong to the bacterial family Mycobacteriaceae, which is characterized by a highly unusual cell envelope with an outer ...

Tailoring Light Management in All‐Perovskite Tandem Solar Cells: The Impact of Nanotextures
To further improve the power conversion efficiency of all‐perovskite tandem solar cells, light management strategies need to be implemented. Front‐sided nanotextures reduce reflection losses, which boosts light absorption, thus increasing the tandem JSC, which is further supported by reducing parasitic absorption.

A mechanically programmable hydrogel for tissue engineering is developed by modulating the molecular threading density of poly(ethylene glycol) diacrylate‐β‐cyclodextrin (PEGDA‐β‐CD) polyrotaxane and combining it with β‐CD‐modified gelatin. The polyrotaxane‐guided transition from disordered pores to laminar microstructures enables precise tuning ...

Chern dartboard insulator: sub-Brillouin zone topology and skyrmion multipoles
Topology plays a crucial role in many physical systems, leading to interesting states at the surface. A paradigmatic example is the Chern number defined in the Brillouin zone that leads to robust gapless edge states.

A simply connected surface of general type with p(g)=0 and K-2=4
As a continuation of the recent results of Y Lee and the second author [5] and the authors [6], we construct a simply connected minimal complex surface of general type with p(g) = 0 and K-2 = 4 by using a rational blow-down surgery and Q-Gorenstein ...

HfxZr1−xO2${\rm Hf}_x{\rm Zr}_{1-x}{\rm O}_2$ offers CMOS‐compatible nanoscale ferroelectricity yet suffers from a high Ec${\rm E}_c$ demanding large operating voltages. A unified phase‐field framework spanning AFE/FE/DE phases shows how FE grains soften neighboring AFE grains over λ$\lambda$ ≈$\approx$ 22–37 nm.

Topology Optimization of Suction Muffler for Noise Attenuation [PDF]
A topology optimization method is developed to optimally design suction mufflers in reciprocating compressors. Suction mufflers should be designed for high noise reduction.

Load Distributing Metamaterials Via Discrete Optimization
Mechanical metamaterials are computationally optimized to homogenize transmitted forces by minimizing the spread of reaction forces. The resulting architectures transform localized loading into broader, more uniform force distributions and experimentally demonstrate robust load spreading under quasi‐static and impact loading.

Donor‐Engineered Chiral Indium–Salen Complexes for Tunable Circularly Polarized Luminescence
Chiral indium–salen complexes bearing electronically and structurally diverse donor substituents are presented as modular main‐group luminophores exhibiting tunable blue‐to‐green circularly polarized luminescence. Donor engineering systematically controls frontier‐orbital distribution, intraligand charge transfer, and excited‐state relaxation ...
