Surface‐Treated Catheters—A Review [PDF]

open access: yesSeminars in Dialysis, 2008
AbstractAlmost 30% of prevalent hemodialysis patients use catheters for vascular access although outcomes are superior with the use of either an arteriovenous fistula or a synthetic graft. Catheter complications are a major cause of morbidity and mortality for hemodialysis patients and increase the burden on the health care system.

A case of dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans of the scalp treated with surface mould brachytherapy

open access: yesJournal of Contemporary Brachytherapy, 2023
Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (DFSP) is a locally aggressive soft tissue tumor with a high propensity of local recurrence after surgery. Radiotherapy as an adjuvant therapy has been shown to reduce recurrent rates of this disease.

Correlations between the interfacial chemistry and current-voltage behavior of n-GaAs/liquid junctions [PDF]

open access: yes, 1990
Correlations between the surface chemistry of etched, (100) oriented n-GaAs electrodes and their subsequent photoelectrochemical behavior have been probed by high-resolution x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy.

On the Surface Porperties of Surface-Treated Polytetrafluoroethylene

open access: yesKobunshi Kagaku, 1961

Impact strength of surface treated SS316L wires reinforced PMMA**

open access: yesJournal of the Mechanical Behavior of Materials, 2021
Stainless steel 316L (SS316L) as a significant bio-material, their wires were used to support the PMMA matrix. Two simple and low-cost surface pretreatments for SS316L wires were performed to enhance denture impact strength: mechanical scratching ...
