Surfaces of Revolution in Terms of Solitons
The detailed analysis of the generalised Weierstrass representation of surfaces of revolution and their deformations induced by the modified Korteweg--de Vries (mKdV) equations is done. In particular, it is shown that these deformations preserve tori.
