Adsorption of ionic surfactants
Colloids and Surfaces A: Physicochemical and Engineering Aspects, 2008Two adsorption models for ionic surfactants based on the Frumkin equation are examined to describe the measured surface tension isotherms of a series of alkali dodecylsulphates. In the model A the number of optimization parameters is reduced by additional modeling.

Surfactant Adsorption on Carbonate Rocks
SPE Conference at Oman Petroleum & Energy Show, 2022Abstract In order to improve the waterflooding efficiency, surfactants and polymers are added to the water; this process is called surfactant–polymer (SP) flooding. One of the problems for this process is high adsorption of surfactants to the rock surface and specially to carbonate rock surfaces.

Adsorption of anionic surfactants onto sepiolite
Journal of Hazardous Materials, 2007Anionic surfactants constitute the main ingredients of detergents and a number of surfactant formulations used in a spectrum of diverse industries. The aim of this study is to examine the amenability of natural sepiolite to the adsorption of anionic surfactants, sodium dodecylsulfate (SDS) and sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate (SDBS). Adsorption isotherms

Ionic surfactant adsorption onto activated carbons
Journal of Colloid and Interface Science, 2004The adsorption of sodium dodecyl sulfate onto a set of activated carbons from aqueous solutions has been studied in the low concentration range. The adsorption isotherms are reasonably well fitted by a double Langmuir equation but the calorimetry of adsorption enthalpies shows a rather wide distribution of energies.

Role of Wettability on the Adsorption of an Anionic Surfactant on Sandstone Cores.
Langmuir, 2020We investigate the dynamic adsorption of anionic surfactant C14 - 16 alpha olefin sulfonate on Berea sandstone cores with different surface wettability and redox states under high temperature that represents reservoir conditions.

Modeling Surfactant Adsorption on Hydrophobic Surfaces
Physical Review Letters, 2005Surfactant adsorption on hydrophobic surfaces is of current interest in attempts to solubilize single-wall carbon nanotubes and to render quantum dots biocompatible. A coarse grained method is presented for incorporating a hydrophobic surface into existing liquid force fields by appealing to statistical mechanics and probability theory.
