Retinoic Acid Reprograms Mast Cells Toward a Proinflammatory State to Enhance Antitumor Immunity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Proinflammatory mast cells represent an MHC‐IIhigh, cytokine‐producing mast cell subset associated with improved survival and enhanced responses to anti‐PD‐1 therapy. Retinoic acid drives their polarization, enabling antigen uptake and presentation, and T cell recruitment and activation, collectively promoting adaptive anti‐tumor immunity.

A novel robust MPC scheme established on LMI formulation for surge instability of uncertain compressor system with actuator constraint and piping acoustic

open access: yesAutomatika
This paper presents a new control method for surge instability of the compressor system. Due to the importance of the active control approach in improving the efficiency of the compressor system, a new scheme based on the model predictive control (MPC ...

Endometrial Assembloid Model Reveals Endometrial Gland Development Regulation by Estradiol‐Driven WNT7B Suppression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study developed a 3D endometrial assembloid model to study how uterine glands form and develop. They discovered key interactions between different cell types and identified WNT7B as a regulator controlled by estradiol‐mediated TGFβ1‐VDR interaction.

Fat People Exist

open access: yes, 2014
A couple weeks ago, I closed the stall door behind me in a Patrick Hall bathroom and was greeted by this sign. I quickly scanned the text, smiled at the picture, and had one of those warm, fuzzy, faith-in-humanity-has-been-restored kinds of ...

A Cold Stress‐Activated Endocrine Sentinel Chemical Hormone Promotes Insect Survival via Mitochondrial Adaptations Through the Adipokinetic Hormone Receptor

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Seasonal cold adaptation is vital for insect survival, yet the molecular mechanisms linking diapause to mitochondrial resilience remain largely unresolved. We identify ascaroside C9 (asc‐C9) as a key endocrine signal that enhances diapause survival during cold stress by activating the AKHR–PGC1α–UCP4 axis, thereby driving cold‐induced lipolysis and ...
