Dielectric Capacitance – Voltage Response as a Predictor of Voltage‐Controlled Magnetic Anisotropy Efficiency

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
A practical method to predict voltage‐controlled magnetic anisotropy (VCMA) efficiency through capacitance–voltage (C–V) measurements is demonstrated. HfO2 dielectric exhibiting strong redox activity demonstrate enhanced VCMA accompanied by electrochemical C–V characteristics.

This May Mean Doing Things a Bit Differently from Here on Out

open access: yes, 2017
OccupyPennHall failed. Embittered by a failed election and its hateful aftermath, students parked themselves in protest. The act precluded and followed an irruption of a faculty meeting.

Current Compliance‐Driven Morphological Evolution of Conductive Filaments in ECM Cells: Mechanisms, Switching Regimes, and Thermal Effects

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Electrochemical metallization (ECM) cells enable neuromorphic and in‐memory computing but require precise control of conductive filament growth. We present a 2D continuum model that explains side growth by coupling electrochemical reactions, ion transport, tunnel currents, mechanical stress, and heating.
