A Multi‐instrument Recognition and Autonomous Tracking Control Method for Robot‐Assisted Endoscopic Adjustment

During lengthy minimally invasive surgeries, fatigue can cause surgeon tremor and poor endoscopic coordination. This study proposes a robot‐assisted endoscopic adjustment system. It employs a lightweight instrument detection model and a hierarchical multiconstraint controller for visual servoing.

Robot‐Assisted Doppler Optical Coherence Tomography for Intraoperative Evaluation of Microvascular Anastomoses

This work presents a robot‐assisted Doppler optical coherence tomography system for autonomous, wide‐field intraoperative assessment of microvascular anastomoses. Machine‐vision–guided probe positioning and adaptive scan planning enable three‐dimensional structural and hemodynamic imaging over extended vessel segments.

OriGrasp: A Multifunctional Origami‐Inspired Instrument for Delicate Manipulation in Abdominal Surgery

This paper introduces an origami‐inspired, lightweight, reconfigurable instrument for robot‐assisted minimally invasive surgery. Its foldable design enables tiny access, tunable compliance, and multifunctionality, serving as a tool introducer or deformable grasper that safely manipulates delicate bowel tissue.
