EGR1 Promotes Craniofacial Bone Regeneration via Activation of ALPL⁺PDGFD⁺ Periosteal Stem Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ALPL+PDGFD+ (AP+) cells are distinct calvarial periosteal stem cells (PeSCs) with diminished postnatal activity. EGR1 drives PeSCs development via BMP signaling through its Znf2 domain and activates them via CTNNB1/WNT10B signaling through its Znf2/3 domains.

Surgical Treatment of Relapsing Keloid of the Pinna by Fillet Flap

open access: yesActas Dermo-Sifiliográficas (English Edition), 2010
Keloid scars occur when, compared to normal healing, there is excessive formation of collagen after skin wounds or burns. Different treatments have been tried, though no particular one has been shown to be superior. The objective of this study was to assess the usefulness of the surgical technique originally described as keloid fillet flap in the ...

Coactosin‐Like Protein Reduces Prostaglandin D2 Production in Alveolar Macrophages and Alleviates Allergic Airway Inflammation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Coactosin‐like protein inhibits prostaglandin D₂ (PGD2) secretion by modulating alveolar macrophage polarization, thereby suppressing activation of the PGD2 receptor CRTH2 in Th2‐associated immune cells and alleviating allergic airway inflammation.

Surgery for scar revision and reduction: from primary closure to flap surgery

open access: yesBurns & Trauma, 2019
Scars are the final result of the four processes that constitute cutaneous wound healing, namely, coagulation, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. Permanent scars are produced if the wounds reach the reticular dermis.

Scalable Multifunctional Fabrics with Boosted Intrinsic Photothermal Efficiency for Salt‐Resistant Solar‐Driven Janus Evaporators

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Scalable nylon fabrics with bioinspired light‐trapping nanostructures and 84.6% intrinsic photothermal conversion efficiency are developed for solar desalination. The Janus evaporator shows high evaporation rate of 3.84 kg m−2 h−1 and long‐term stability in seawater, offering a cost‐effective solution for solar desalination.
