Diagnosis of Surra in Camels by the Passive Haemagglutination Test

British Veterinary Journal, 1971
SUMMARY The passive haemagglutination test has been used to study antibody titres from camels not suffering from Trypanosoma evansi and it was found that the titres were 1 : 20 and below. Similar tests with the known positive cases of T. evansi in camels revealed titres of 1 : 40 and above. Titres of 1 : 20 should be treated as doubtful.
