Establishing Shape Correspondences: A Survey
Abstract Shape correspondence between surfaces in 3D is a central problem in geometry processing, concerned with establishing meaningful relations between surfaces. While all correspondence problems share this goal, specific formulations can differ significantly: Downstream applications require certain properties that correspondences must satisfy ...

ABSTRACT Developmental psychology continues to shape how adults engage with children about death and dying. This influences whether children are included in rituals surrounding human and other‐than‐human bodies. Figurations of the innocent, immature and vulnerable child still dominate adult imaginaries of young children's understandings of mortality ...

An algebraic (set) theory of surreal numbers, I
The notion of surreal number was introduced by J.H. Conway in the mid 1970's: the surreal numbers constitute a linearly ordered (proper) class $No$ containing the class of all ordinal numbers ($On$) that, working within the background set theory NBG, can be defined by a recursion on the class $On$.

Abstract According to a widely held view both within and outside philosophy, imagination is innocent in the sense that it does not influence what we think and do. Hence, we can let our imagination wander anywhere. There are two ways of pushing back against this ‘innocence of imagination’ claim.

Surreal Time and Ultratasks [PDF]
This paper suggests that time could have a much richer mathematical structure than that of the real numbers. Clark & Read (1984) argue that a hypertask (uncountably many tasks done in a finite length of time) cannot be performed. Assuming that time takes

ABSTRACT This article explores Russia's genocidal discourses on Ukrainians, focusing on the predominant narrative that frames cultural genocide as the ‘liberation’ of Ukrainians through the erasure of their cultural identity. Existing literature tends to overlook this form of genocidal discourse, which diverges from typical ‘othering’ by instead ...
