Human Agency Drivers for Eco‐Innovation: The Role of Environmental Entrepreneurship Orientation and Green Human Resource Management

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study examines how human agency drives eco‐innovation by analyzing the mediating role of green human resource management (HRM) in the relationship between environmental entrepreneurship orientation (EEO) and eco‐innovation. By integrating resource orchestration theory with the Ability–Motivation–Opportunity (AMO) framework, the study ...

Paying for Privilege: How Political Contributions Undermine Environmental Sustainability—And How Executive Contracting Can Restore Balance

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We are interested in investigating whether firms use political donations as a license to neglect environmental sustainability. We further deepen the examination by exploring the role of executive contracting. Drawing on a wide range of data between 2002 and 2021 and a global sample, our findings confirm that firms use political contributions ...

Enabling Factors for the Shift From ESG Scores to ESG Performance Management System in SMEs: An Interventionist Approach

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study examines how small and medium‐sized enterprises (SMEs) transition from a symbolic, disclosure‐oriented ESG logic toward a substantive ESG‐oriented performance management system (PMS) grounded in actionable KPIs. Drawing on evidence from the Apuan‐Versilian Stone Industrial District through an interventionist research design, we ...

Nitrogen‐Stitched rGO/Graphite Bilayer Anodes for Accelerated Li‐Ion Transport and Interfacial Charge Regulation

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
Nitrogen‐stitched rGO forms an active charge‐regulating bilayer on graphite that pre‐adsorbs, guides, and delivers Li+ into the lattice. This adsorption–migration–diffusion pathway accelerates Li+ transport, stabilizes the interface, and enables fast‐charging performance beyond conventional graphite limits.

Deciphering Polarity Effects of Polymer to Regulate Li+ Ionic Environment in Solid Polymer Electrolytes for Solid‐State Lithium Batteries

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
We elucidate the fundamental influences of polymer polarity on Li+ ionic environments in solid polymer electrolytes by considering four critical components: Li+, FSI−, residual solvents, and polymer matrix. Beyond facilitating LiFSI dissociation and Li+ transport, our findings underscore previously overlooked roles of polymer polarity, thereby ...
