Multimodal Human–Robot Interaction Using Human Pose Estimation and Local Large Language Models

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A multimodal human–robot interaction framework integrates human pose estimation (HPE) and a large language model (LLM) for gesture‐ and voice‐based robot control. Speech‐to‐text (STT) enables voice command interpretation, while a safety‐aware arbitration mechanism prioritizes gesture input for rapid intervention.

Scrambling for Video Surveillance with Privacy [PDF]

open access: yes2006 Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition Workshop (CVPRW'06), 2006
In this paper, we address the problem of scrambling regions of interest in a video sequence for the purpose of preserving privacy in video surveillance. We propose an efficient solution based on transform-domain scrambling. More specifically, the sign of selected transform coefficients is pseudo-randomly flipped during encoding.
