Landscape of BRAF transcript variants in human cancer
We investigate the annotation of BRAF variants, focusing on protein‐coding BRAF‐220 (formerly BRAF‐reference) and BRAF‐204 (BRAF‐X1). The IsoWorm pipeline allows us to quantify these variants in human cancer, starting from RNA‐sequencing data. BRAF‐204 is more abundant than BRAF‐220 and impacts patient survival.

Loss of proton‐sensing GPR4 reduces tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer
G protein‐coupled receptor 4 (GPR4) is a pH‐sensing receptor activated by acidic pH. GPR4 expression is increased in patients with inflammatory bowel disease who are at high risk of developing colorectal cancer. In mouse models, loss of GPR4 attenuated tumor progression. This correlated with increased IL2 and natural killer cell activity.

This review has been rather superficial in the interest of preserving the aim of the paper: to present a summary and integrated perspective of Szondi research. No review can be a substitute for a thorough examination of original sources. On the other hand, some general criticisms should be made of the design of these studies.

Ethical suicide research: A survey of researchers
International Journal of Mental Health Nursing, 2009ABSTRACTResearch is needed to better understand and respond effectively to people who are suicidal. Involving people who are suicidal in research poses some ethical and pragmatic problems. The ethical problems and difficulties in obtaining approval to involve people who are suicidal in research has contributed to the current paucity of research that ...

The Cornerstones of Survey Research
2015The goal of this chapter is to introduce the readers to the central issues in survey quality, to discuss the decisions that must be made when designing and implementing a survey, and to review the current methodological and statistical knowledge as presented in the Handbook. Principles important for designing good quality surveys are discussed in terms
