Teacher Survival Rates—A Current Look
American Educational Research Journal, 1978Data are examined for the period 1968 to 1976 to provide a current look at public school teacher survival rates, and to update Charters’ findings reported in 1970. Results indicate that the downward sloping survival curve that Charters found still exists, although the curve has shifted up steadily through time.

A model is proposed for the effect of dose-rate on the survival curve. The model leads to a set of differential equations, which are solved numerically. The parameters of the model have been fitted to published data on the survival of HeLa S3 cells, and a satisfactory fit obtained.

Renal Survival Rate of IgA Nephropathy
Nephron, 1985In an attempt to identify prognostic indicators in IgA nephropathy, we evaluated the relationship between clinical and histological findings and changes in renal function in 81 patients with IgA nephropathy whose creatinine clearance was more than 80 ml/min at the time of renal biopsy.

New Lists: Fundamentals and Survival Rates
SSRN Electronic Journal, 2003Abstract The class of firms that obtain public equity financing expands dramatically in the 1980s and 1990s. The number of new firms listed on major U.S. stock markets jumps from 156 per year for 1973–1979 to 549 per year for 1980–2001. The characteristics of new lists also change.

Survival rate of airborne Mycobacterium bovis
Research in Veterinary Science, 2007Despite years of study the principle transmission route of bovine tuberculosis to cattle remains unresolved. The distribution of pathological lesions, which are concentrated in the respiratory system, and the very low dose of Mycobacterium bovis needed to initiate infection from a respiratory tract challenge suggest that the disease is spread by ...

Television has never lost its popularity since the day it entered our life, unlike other mass media. One of the only reasons why television should maintain this feature is that the masses do not give up using it actively. Another thing that should be mentioned together with this is that this vehicle has been able to keep up with the changing media ...

Increasing survival rate from commotio cordis
Heart Rhythm, 2013Commotio cordis events due to precordial blows triggering ventricular fibrillation are a cause of sudden death (SD) during sports and also daily activities. Despite the absence of structural cardiac abnormalities, these events have been considered predominantly fatal with low survival rates. To determine whether expected mortality rates for commotio ...

The literature of cultural economics generally finds that an artistic education has no significant impact on artists’ income and careers in the arts. In our research, we have readdressed this question by looking at the artists’ survival in the arts occupations.
