Suspended Sediment Yield Analysis Using a Continuous Monitoring System in the Sg. Pangsun Watershed, Ulu Langat, Selangor [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
The need for reliable sediment yield data is a topic which generates much discussion especially among hydrologists, scientists and those concerned with the river system.

SI‐bioATRP in Mesoporous Silica for Size‐Exclusion Driven Local Polymer Placement

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An enzyme‐catalyzed surface‐initiated atom transfer radical polymerization (SI‐bioATRP) of an anionic monomer within mesoporous silica particles, using hemoglobin as a catalyst, allows for controlling the location of the formed polymer via size‐exclusion effects between the nanopores and the biomacromolecules, thereby opening routes to functional ...

From Single Atoms to Nanoparticles: Pathways Toward Efficient and Durable Pt/TiO2 Photocatalysts

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Platinum single atoms on TiO2 nanosheets evolve into clusters and nanoparticles under ethanol photoreforming and thermal treatments. By controlling deposition and post‐treatments, particle size and location on specific facets are modulated. The study reveals how stability pathways determine efficiency, guiding the design of more durable photocatalysts.

Measuring and estimation of suspended sediment variation using sediment rating curve approach in Mereg River [PDF]

open access: yesجغرافیا و پایداری محیط, 2017
As a major component of hydrological, geomorphological, and ecological functioning of rivers, suspended sediment has been identified as the leading direct cause of river instabilities.

Shaping Ti3C2 MXene Nanospheres for Precision Near‐Infrared Photothermal Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this study, we report producing spherical MXenes via fs laser fragmentation of Ti3C2 flakes in liquid medium. The nanoparticles demonstrated pronounced light absorption and high photothermal conversion efficiencies of 68% and 63% under heating with NIR‐I and NIR‐II lasers, respectively.

Dynamics of suspended sediment plumes in Lake Ontario [PDF]

open access: yes
The absence of turbidity plumes during the winter was well documented in an ususually successful sequence of images obtained February 10 - 12, 1974. Useful imagery of the south shore of Lake Ontario was obtained on 3 successive days at a time when sky ...

Toxicity of pesticides adsorbed to suspended sediment to larval fish in the Cedar River [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
How do suspended sediment and pesticides introduced into Iowa streams and rivers by erosion of agricultural soil affect warm water fish? This study looks at how chlorpyrifos, a widely used pesticide, and suspended sediment interact with each other in ...

Atomic‐Scale Light Coupling Control in Ultrathin Photonic Membranes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Ultrathin photonic nanomembranes provide atomic‐scale control over the coupling between incident light and high‐Q photonic modes, enabling angstrom‐level resonance tuning and strong field confinement. When integrated with TMD monolayers, they further yield enhanced light–matter interactions, offering a versatile platform for advancing quantum photonics,
