Suspended sediment concentrations under waves
Coastal Engineering, 1986Abstract A predictive formula is derived for calculation of the magnitude of time-averaged suspended sediment concentrations under waves. By taking into account the effect of flow contraction near ripple crests, the formula applies equally well for rippled beds and sheet flow conditions.

Journal of the Hydraulics Division, 1970The nonequilibrium transport of suspended sediment in an open channel is studied at an abrupt change from a nonerodible to an erodible bed. The convective-diffusion equation is solved for the case of constant velocity distribution and parabolic eddy diffusion coefficient. Diffusion in the direction of flow is neglected.
