Topologically mixing suspension flows over shift spaces
We establish necessary and sufficient conditions for suspension flows over certain families of shift spaces to be topologically mixing. We also show the similarities and differences between this case and the smooth measure theoretic setting on a manifold.

Higher-dimensional Algebra and Topological Quantum Field Theory
The study of topological quantum field theories increasingly relies upon concepts from higher-dimensional algebra such as n-categories and n-vector spaces.

An In Situ Embedded B‐MOF Sponge With Shape‐Memory for All‐in‐One Diabetic Wound Therapy
A smart shape‐memory sponge dressing (P1A3@B‐MOF) is developed for accelerated diabetic wound healing. It achieves pH‐responsive corelease of Zn2+ and salvianolic acid B, synergistically providing antibacterial action, repolarizing macrophages to the M2 phenotype, and promoting angiogenesis.

Interface transmigration reprograms triple‐negative breast cancer cells, triggering a shared switch toward more aggressive and invasive phenotypes. Using a collagen I interface model, this study identifies shared transcriptional changes involving proliferation, chromatin remodeling, and DNA repair pathways.

Modeling and Realization of a Bearingless Flux-Switching Slice Motor
This work introduces a novel bearingless slice motor design: the bearingless flux-switching slice motor. In contrast to state-of-the-art bearingless slice motors, the rotor in this new design does not include any permanent rotor magnets.

Topology optimization of an electric powertrain suspension bracket
Topology optimization, the search for the perfect material distribution allows for new and better designs. In this thesis topology optimization was used to find a lighter and better performing powertrain suspension bracket. Next to finding such a solution this project shall also pave way for topology optimization in future design processes.

Equivariant operads, string topology, and Tate cohomology
From an operad C with an action of a group G, we construct new operads using the homotopy fixed point and orbit spectra. These new operads are shown to be equivalent when the generalized G-Tate cohomology of C is trivial.

Respiratory Organ‐on‐a‐Chip for Disease Modeling: From Architecture to Functional Integration
Respiratory organ‐on‐a‐chip (ROC) models capture key mechanical and cellular cues of the human respiratory system, enabling quantitative dissection of disease mechanisms. This review links ROC architectures to disease modeling, functional integration, and commercialization, and proposes a decision framework that aligns model complexity with mechanistic

Poincare duality and Periodicity
We construct periodic families of Poincare complexes, partially solving a question of Hodgson that was posed in the proceedings of the 1982 Northwestern homotopy theory conference.

A superhydrophobic 3D cell culture platform enables rapid and consistent formation of heterotypic tumor–stroma clusters, and reveals how physiological shear conditions influence metastatic signaling. Mechanical stimulation of cancer‐associated fibroblasts promotes sustained cytokine secretion and survival‐promoting pathways, showing how multicellular ...
