Bionic Solar‐Powered Heavy Metal Trap for Eco‐Friendly Sludge Drying and Simultaneous Electricity Generation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Herein, we propose a solar‐powered heavy metal trap (SPHT) for sludge disposal. The indoor experiments demonstrated that the sludge water content decreased from 90 % to 31 %, coupled with a decrease in heavy metal content to 6 % at most. Furthermore, the designed SPHT generated an initial potential of 0.10 V, and monitoring this hydrovoltaic potential ...

A multi-scalar analysis of European cities [PDF]

open access: yes
In this article, we observe existing links between sustainable development and cities’ structural features. First, we identify cluster of cities that are homogenous in structural terms. We then adopt a multiscalar perspective.

“Membrane‐Guided” Repair Strategy: Precision Delivery of GGT1 Degrader for Targeted Repair and Regeneration of Spinal Cord Neurons

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study confirms that GGT1 is a key driver of neuronal ferroptosis following spinal cord injury. We developed NSCm@EA, a biomimetic delivery system coated with neural stem cell membranes, for precise delivery of enocyanin to injured neurons. By combining targeted delivery with ubiquitination degradation mechanisms, this system promotes MGRN1 ...

Decoupling urban transport from GHG emissions in Indian cities--A critical review and perspectives [PDF]

open access: yes
How to sustain rapid economic and urban growth with minimised detriment to environment is a key challenge for sustainable development and climate change mitigation in developing countries, which face constraints of technical and financial resources ...

Shear‐Induced Emergence of Aromatic Superlow‐Friction Interfaces in Amorphous Carbon: Triggering Chemical Impurities and Atomic‐Scale Mechanisms

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
High‐throughput quantum‐mechanical simulations reveal that amorphous carbon undergoes shear‐driven structural transformation into aromatic, graphene‐like interfaces. This mechanochemical process is governed by dopant chemistry: dopants with valency less than four promote the emergence of superlow‐friction amorphous graphene, whereas tetra‐valent ...

XXQ FACTORS FOR SUSTAINABLE URBAN DEVELOPMENT: A SYSTEMS ECONOMICS VIEW [PDF]

open access: yes
Modern cities turn increasingly into functional areas seeking for a balance between agglomeration forces and urban quality of life. This paper will address the issue of sustainable urban development from a quality (performance) perspective.
