Arthroscopic Single-Tunnel Pullout Suture Fixation for Tibial Eminence Avulsion Fracture

open access: yesArthroscopy Techniques, 2018
Various arthroscopic techniques have been devised for fixation of tibial eminence avulsions, namely percutaneous K-wires, arthroscopy-guided screw fixation, staples, TightRope (Arthrex)–suture button fixation, and transosseous suture fixation.

Discovery of Natural Compound α‐Hederin via Large‐Scale Screening as a Targeted JAK/STAT3 Inhibitor for Ovarian Cancer Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies α‐Hederin as a potent dual JAK1/JAK2 inhibitor that blocks STAT3 activation in ovarian cancer. By disrupting STAT3‐driven transcriptional programs, α‐Hederin suppresses tumor proliferation, invasion, and EMT, while enhancing cisplatin efficacy and overcoming chemoresistance.

A Load-Sharing Rip-Stop Fixation Construct for Arthroscopic Rotator Cuff Repair

open access: yesArthroscopy Techniques, 2012
Despite advancements in arthroscopic rotator cuff repair techniques, achieving tendon-to-bone healing can be difficult in the setting of poor-quality tendon. Moreover, medial tendon tears or tears with lateral tendon loss may preclude standard techniques.

Calcitonin Gene‐Related Peptide (CGRP)‐Expressing Neurons in the External Lateral Parabrachial Area Regulate Pain‐Induced Sleep Disturbances

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Lynch et al., identified novel targets on the wake‐promoting pathways that can effectively treat pain‐induced sleep disturbances. The authors demonstrated that Calcitonin gene‐related peptide‐expressing neurons (CGRP) in the external lateral parabrachial nucleus (PBelCGRP) serve as the primary relay node for pain stimuli that cause sleep disruption ...
