This study reports a novel strategy for preparing a biocompatible adhesive hydrogel crosslinked with a muscle tissue‐derived extracellular matrix (MEM) for in situ muscle regeneration. As a natural crosslinker, MEM not only mediates combinatorial polymer networks but also stimulates satellite cells to induce a cell‐free therapeutic solution.

Universal Hydrogel Carrier Enhances Bone Graft Success: Preclinical and Clinical Evaluation
TX hydrogel improves the delivery of different types of particulate bone grafts, maintaining them at the implantation sites, and resulting in favorable bone regenerative outcomes. Abstract Orthopedic, maxillofacial, and complex dentoalveolar bone grafting procedures that require donor‐site bone harvesting can be associated with post‐surgical ...

Taut sutured manifolds and twisted homology [PDF]
We give a necessary and sufficient criterion for a sutured manifold to be taut in terms of the twisted homology of the sutured manifold.

The Influence of the Type of Surgical Thread and Suture in the Open Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Surgery
Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) is the result of compression and/or traction of the median nerve in the carpal tunnel. It is the most frequent compressive neuropathy of the upper limbs and it is usually idiopathic. Diagnosis is essentially clinical, defined

Less Invasive Fixation of Acute Avulsions of the Achilles Tendon: A Technical Note
Purpose: Nowadays, surgical treatment of acute avulsions of the Achilles tendon represents a hard challenge. There is often the possibility that the calcaneus remains completely uncovered from the tendon, making the reinsertion of its distal stub complex.

On Sutured Khovanov Homology and Axis-Preserving Mutations [PDF]
This paper establishes that sutured annular Khovanov homology is not invariant for braid closures under axis-preserving mutations. This follows from an explicit relationship between sutured annular Khovanov homology and the classical Burau representation for braid closures.

BACKGROUND Barbed sutures were developed to reduce operative time and improve security of wound closure. OBJECTIVE The authors compare absorbable barbed sutures (V-Loc, Covidien, Mansfield, Massachusetts) with conventional (smooth) absorbable sutures ...
