Farmers' Participation in Messenger‐Based Social Groups And Its Effects on Performance in Irrigated Areas of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The penetration of information and communication technologies (ICTs) in farming communities is increasing the use of smartphone‐based instant messaging apps. Despite this, the reasons behind participation and the impact on farm productivity in developing countries remain unexplored.

Stable BF2 Boracycles as Versatile Reagents for Selective Ortho C–H Functionalization

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
We report a robust, metal‐free and scalable synthesis of stable BF2 boracycles via directed ortho CH borylation, delivering isolable, shelf‐stable reagents without chromatographic purification. These BF2 boracycles exhibit unique and tunable reactivity, enabling highly selective ipso‐functionalization across a broad range of transformations.

Advances in Catalysis Using N-Heterocyclic Carbene Platinum Complexes

open access: yesMolecules
Apart from in hydrosilylation, platinum has traditionally played a limited role in homogeneous catalysis due to its high thermodynamic stability and lower intrinsic reactivity compared to other group 10 metals.

Transitive and Co-Transitive Caps

open access: yes, 2000
A cap in PG(r,q) is a set of points, no three of which are collinear. A cap is said to be transitive if its automorphism group in PGammaL(r+1,q) acts transtively on the cap, and co-transitive if the automorphism group acts transtively on the cap's ...

Traceability of Agri‐Food Products: The Key to Conscious Trade

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Globalization and growing concerns about sustainability have led to improvements in product traceability, quality, and sustainability. Traceability contributes to environmental protection and supports sustainable development by fostering transparency in agricultural practices and encouraging the responsible use of resources.

Atroposelective Suzuki–Miyaura Coupling to Form 2‐Amino‐2′‐Hydroxybiphenyls Enabled by sRuPhos

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
We report a new chiral phosphine ligand, sRuPhos, which permits the highly enantioselective Suzuki–Miyaura coupling of ortho‐aniline and ortho‐phenol building blocks. This results in 2‐amino‐2′‐hydroxybiphenyls with very high enantiomeric excesses, products that will have application in pharmaceutical synthesis and ligand design for catalysis ...

Comparison of Pre‐ and Postoperative Gut Microbiota Diversity in Patients With Rectal Cancer Undergoing Stoma Creation and Closure

open access: yesAnnals of Gastroenterological Surgery, EarlyView.
We investigated the impact of temporary stoma creation and closure on gut microbiota diversity in rectal cancer patients. 16S rRNA sequencing revealed that microbial diversity significantly decreased postoperatively in the stoma group but remained stable in non‐stoma patients.

(Poly)Borylated Species as Modern Reactive Groups toward Unusual Synthetic Applications

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
In this review, we spotlight recent breakthroughs in α‐polyboron‐substituted carbon‐centered intermediates (carbanion, carbocation, radical, and carbene) and polyborylated alkenes. By bridging fundamental reactivity with the application potential of these extraordinary species, we hope this review will serve as a roadmap for harnessing these unique ...

Association between RNF213 p.R4810K and Progression of Cerebral Artery Negative Remodeling in Moyamoya Disease

open access: yesNeurologia Medico-Chirurgica
Negative remodeling, characterized by a decrease in the outer diameter of the terminal (C1) segment of the internal carotid artery and the proximal (M1) segment of the middle cerebral artery, is a hallmark of moyamoya disease.
