ELECTROMAGNETIC EFFECTS OF ACOUSTIC AND ATMOSPHERIC GRAVITY WAVES IN THE NEAR-EARTH ATMOSPHERE [PDF]

open access: yesRadio Physics and Radio Astronomy, 2020
Purpose: Acoustic and atmospheric gravity waves (AAGW) are generated by many natural and anthropogenic sources. The AAGW propagation at ionospheric heights is accompanied by the generation of disturbances in the magnetic and electric fields.

Harnessing the power of machine and deep learning for transferring joint species distribution models considering the structure of biotic interactions

open access: yesEcography, EarlyView.
The transferability of single or joint species distribution models ((j)SDMs) depends on their ability to predict beyond the observed environmental range and to remain consistent despite shifts in biotic interactions. Transfer accuracy may be improved by recent advances in the application of deep learning that provide greater flexibility and potentially

ELECTROMAGNETIC WAVE SCATTERING BY A SYSTEM OF VIBRATORS HAVING VARIABLE IMPEDANCE IN A RECTANGULAR WAVEGUIDE

open access: yesRadio Physics and Radio Astronomy, 2015
A problem of electromagnetic wave excitation by finite-dimensional material bodies located in an arbitrary electrodynamic volume was formulated. The problem was reduced to solution of two-dimensional integral equations for electrical surface currents on ...

Searching for Inflow Towards Massive Starless Clump Candidates Identified in the Bolocam Galactic Plane Survey

open access: yes, 2018
Recent Galactic plane surveys of dust continuum emission at long wavelengths have identified a population of dense, massive clumps with no evidence for on-going star formation. These massive starless clump candidates are excellent sites to search for the

Jezik sodobnega literarnega diskurza koroških Slovencev

open access: yesJezik in Slovstvo, 2018

Cellulose Acetate Fibers With Infiltrated ZnO Nanocrystals: Activation of Antibacterial Properties Against Acne vulgaris by Oxygen Plasma Treatment

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
We present biodegradable cellulose acetate fibers infiltrated with ZnO nanocrystals for Acne treatment. Fibers produced by centrifugal spinning were vapor‐phase infiltrated to contain uniform ZnO nanocrystals. Oxygen plasma treatment enhanced the fibers´ wettability.
