Sward structure and nutritive value of tanzania guineagrass subjected to rotational stocking managements [PDF]

open access: yesRevista Brasileira de Zootecnia, 2009
The objective of this work was to evaluate the sward structure and nutritive value of Panicum maximum Jacq. cv. Tanzânia subjected to rotational stocking managements characterised by a common pre-grazing condition of 95% canopy light interception (LI) and two post-grazing residues, 25 and 50 cm.

Forage Production and Sward Structure Dynamics of Tall Fescue (Lolium arundinaceum) Pasture Grazed to Different Sward Heights

open access: yesAgronomy
Sward structure and post-grazing heights (SH) significantly influence plant growth and animal intake, crucial for dairy grazing systems. However, these interactions are dynamic and vary with season, resource heterogeneity, and defoliation patterns ...

Performance of extensive cattle stocking on a reclaimed minerotrophic wet grassland [PDF]

open access: yesMires and Peat, 2017
Extensive stocking with cattle is a common type of grassland management in reclaimed fen sites. However, due to the high productivity of grassland on organic soil with a history of intensive management, stocking at low rates may not allow an adequate ...

Microenvironment Modulation‐Based Nanomaterial‐Loaded Hydrogel Dressings for Diabetic Foot Ulcers: Research Progress and Future Perspectives

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
xx xx. ABSTRACT Diabetic foot ulcer (DFU) is a chronic complication of diabetes, primarily caused by hyperglycemia, peripheral vascular disease, and neuropathy. Characterized by persistent hyperglycemia, impaired perfusion, inflammation, and infection, DFUs pose significant challenges to healing and are associated with high morbidity and amputation ...

Overcoming Printing and Interfacial Challenges in Liquid Metal Direct Writing for Integrated Stretchable Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Liquid metal direct writing is advanced from a technological and fundamental point. Utilizing a kinematic bed, printing on large surfaces with irregularities is enabled. Furthermore, a pressure‐driven flow during printing is discovered that affects the thickness of traces.

Sward structural characteristics of perennial peanut genotypes as affected by harvest frequency

open access: yesTropical Grasslands - Forrajes Tropicales, 2013
Despite the high potential of tropical forage species, herbage production, nutritive value and animal produc-tion in Brazilian livestock production systems are lower than what should be obtained from both a biological and operational point of view (Pedreira and Mello 2000).

BioCNTs Mediated Delivery of Systemically Mobile Small RNAs via Leaf Spray to Control Both Tomato DNA and RNA Viruses

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A carbon nanotube‐based biopesticide system (BioCNTs) enables efficient delivery and systemic movement of RNAi molecules to control major tomato viruses. By integrating shRNA and tRNA‐like structures (TLS) with BioCNTs, this green and scalable approach achieves long‐term silencing and high antiviral efficacy through simple foliar spraying.

Dysfunctional TRIM31 of POMC Neurons Provokes Hypothalamic Injury and Peripheral Metabolic Disorder under Long‐Term Fine Particulate Matter Exposure

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Particulate matter ≤2.5 µm (PM2.5) elevates risks of neurological and chronic metabolic diseases, but the underlying mechanisms linking PM2.5‐induced central nervous system (CNS) injury to metabolic dysfunction remain unclear. Hypothalamic pro‐opiomelanocortin‐expressing (POMC+) neurons regulate systemic metabolic homeostasis, and tripartite motif ...
