Life Prediction of the Oil-Free Piston Rings in the Air-Powered Swashplate Engine

Advanced Materials Research, 2012
The air-powered swashplate engine is different from the oil-free compressor in working principle and mechanism. In order to predict the life of the oil-free piston rings of the engine , a new method is put forward, and is used to the life prediction of the rings.

Optimization design of elastic constrained mechanism in swashplate engine based on neural network and genetic algorithm

2010 International Conference on Computer, Mechatronics, Control and Electronic Engineering, 2010
Aiming at the fact that the current method of designing elastic constrained mechanism in swashplate engine is deficient and the vibration noise is very large, a new method for optimization design of constrained mechanism is put forward based on back propagation (BP) artificial neural network and genetic algorithm (GA).

A shape memory effect swashplate heat engine

Materials Letters, 1988
Abstract A novel heat engine based on the shape memory effect (SME) of helical NiTi wire and utilising the swashplate geometry is described. Measurements of engine power cycled through 12°C and 80°C water baths were as high as 3 W/kg, which compare favourably with more complex SME heat engines designs.

Structural Parameter Optimization of a Coaxial Swashplate Engine Based on NSGA-II

Journal of Computational and Nonlinear Dynamics
Abstract Swashplate engines offer compelling advantages over traditional piston engines for low-altitude applications, particularly in power density, compact design, and fuel versatility. However, traditional design processes for swashplate engines still rely heavily on empirical paradigms, resulting in relatively outdated ...
