Malignant Sweat Gland Tumors

Hematology/Oncology Clinics of North America, 2019
Malignant sweat gland neoplasms are a confusing area within dermatopathology, with many entities reported under several designations in the literature. This review describes the key clinical and histopathologic features of select malignant adnexal neoplasms, including porocarcinoma, papillary carcinoma, adenoid cystic carcinoma, cribriform carcinoma ...

Sweat Gland Carcinoma

The American Surgeon, 2004
Sweat gland carcinoma is a rare malignant tumor of the skin adnexa that can occur in a variety of locations. It is a slow-growing tumor that metastasizes early and often. The rarity of this tumor has led to a relative lack of adequate evidence with regard to treating this entity. Recent advances in immunohistochemical staining have better defined this

Diversity and evolution of human eccrine sweat gland density.

Journal of Thermal Biology, 2019
The human eccrine sweat gland is central to the evolution of the human genus, permitting an enormous thermoregulatory sweating capacity that was essential to the human niche of high physical activity in open, hot, semi-arid environments.

Gene expression profiling in aggressive digital papillary adenocarcinoma sheds light on the architecture of a rare sweat gland carcinoma

British Journal of Dermatology, 2019
Sweat gland carcinomas are rare cutaneous adnexal malignancies. Aggressive digital papillary adenocarcinoma (ADPA) represents a very rare subentity, thought to arise almost exclusively from the sweat glands of the fingers and toes. The aetiology of sweat

Polymorphous sweat gland carcinoma

Histopathology, 1994
We describe nine cases of a distinctive cutaneous neoplasm showing features of eccrine adnexal differentiation that were characterized by their variegated histological appearance and low‐grade malignant behaviour. The term polymorphous sweat gland carcinoma is proposed to designate these lesions.

Sweat Gland‐Like Fabric for Personal Thermal‐Wet Comfort Management

Advanced Functional Materials
The sweat evaporation strategy has shown great potential for passive cooling of the human body. However, the accumulation of sweat at the skin resulting from the hindrance by traditional fabrics increases the heat load and causes the clothing to stick to
