We analyzed the summer weather from the point of view of human thermal load by using the new clothing resistance model and by introducing the concept of “compensatory sweating”. The model uses measured sweating (“regulatory sweating”) as input; the two sweating variables are independent of each other.

Synaptic Inhibition in the Accessory Olfactory Bulb Regulates Pheromone Location Learning and Memory
ABSTRACT Pheromone signaling is pivotal in driving the social and reproductive behaviors of rodents. Learning and memorizing the pheromone locations involve olfactory subsystems. To study the neural basis of this behavior, we trained female heterozygous knockouts of GluA2 (AMPAR subunit) and NR1 (NMDAR subunit), targeting GAD65 interneuron population ...

KILLJOY POETICS IN ANTJE RÁVIK STRUBEL'S BLAUE FRAU (2021)
Abstract Drawing on Sara Ahmed's concept of killjoy activism, I explore how Antje Rávik Strubel's Blaue Frau employs a killjoy poetics that refuses to brush over violence, asymmetry, injury and force. Instead, the novel intervenes in affective textures of happiness and reconciliation, and forms activist and ecological networks of resistance. I build on

Frey′s Syndrome as a Sequela of Superficial Parotidectomy
Frey Syndrome (Gustatory Sweating) is a common complication after surgical intervention or injury in parotid gland region. Frey attributed these symptoms to scar formation around the auriculotemporal nerve after damage caused by parotidectomies, condylar
