Integrated-optics-based swept-source optical coherence tomography
Optics Letters, 2012We designed, fabricated, and characterized an integrated-optics-based swept-source optical coherence tomography (SS-OCT) system in TriPleX technology. An external 1300 nm swept source is coupled to the chip, which contains waveguide structures for interferometric depth ranging and balanced detection.

Swept Source optical coherence tomography of choroidal nevi
Canadian Journal of Ophthalmology, 2016The aim of this article is to report on retinal and choroidal morphology in choroidal nevi documented with Swept Source optical coherence tomography (SS-OCT).This is a retrospective, observational study. We included 27 consecutive patients with choroidal nevi.

Spatially multiplexed swept source optical coherence tomography
SPIE Proceedings, 2005A spatially-multiplexed swept-source optical coherence tomography (SM-SS-OCT) system for rapid acquisition of B-scans of tissue microstructure is described, we believe, for the first time. SM-SS-OCT instrumentation is similar to that of traditional Swept Source OCT (SS-OCT), which uses a widely tunable (~100 nm) laser source to obtain high ...

Swept Source Optical Coherence Tomography: a Review
Current Ophthalmology Reports, 2018In this review, we shall attempt to explain the physics behind swept source-optical coherence tomography (SS-OCT), the advantages and disadvantages of SS-OCT when compared with spectral domain-optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT), and the current clinical applications of SS-OCT.

Swept-Source Optical Coherence Tomography
2016In the two decades since optical coherence tomography (OCT) was first described (Huang et al. 1991), this technology has played essential roles in ophthalmology as well as other branches of medicine. The technology has been adapted to produce noninvasive, high-resolution images of both the anterior segment (cornea and structures at the angles) and ...

Swept source Fourier domain optical coherence tomography
Optical Amplifiers and Their Applications/Coherent Optical Technologies and Applications, 2006Swept laser based Fourier domain optical coherence tomography (FDOCT) systems were designed and developed. 3-D structure, Doppler and polarization imaging with high speed and high sensitivity were described and ...

Handheld common-path swept-source optical coherence tomography angiography
Optics Letters, 2023This study develops a handheld optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) system that uses a high-speed (200 kHz) swept laser with a dual-reference common-path configuration for stable and fast imaging. The common-path design automatically avoids polarization and dispersion mismatches by using one circulator as the primary system element, ensuring

RETINAL Cases & Brief Reports, 2021
Purpose: Waardenburg syndrome (WS) is a rare condition characterized by six main features. It has been previously observed that WS is also associated with hypopigmentation of the choroid through multimodal imaging. To our knowledge, this is the first report of using swept-source optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA ...

Air-puff Swept-Source Optical Coherence Tomography
Frontiers in Optics 2016, 2016The response of porcine eyes to air puff at well controlled levels of intraocular pressure (IOP) was visualized and quantified using air-puff combined with Swept-Source OCT instrument. The viscoelastic properties of the corneas of model animals appeared as a hysteresis of the deformation amplitude vs. applied air pressure. The corneal apex displacement
