Effect of Wind-Wave-Current Interaction on Oil Spill in the Yangtze River Estuary

open access: yesJournal of Marine Science and Engineering, 2023
Oil spills are major threat to marine ecosystem and have long-lasting effect on marine life and water quality. In this study, a two-dimension hydrodynamic and oil spill transport model of the Yangtze River Estuary is established based on MIKE21 with a ...

Potential biomass and distribution of octopus in the eastern part of the Campeche Bank (Yucatán, Mexico)

open access: yesScientia Marina, 2020
The octopus fishery on the Campeche Bank (Yucatán, Mexico) is considered the third largest in the world. In Yucatán, two fleets target this resource: an artisanal fleet and a semi-industrial fleet. The artisanal fleet only catches Octopus maya, while the

Raman‐based label‐free microscopic analysis of the pancreas in living zebrafish larvae

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Forward stimulated Raman scattering (F‐SRS) and epi coherent anti‐Stokes Raman scattering (E‐CARS) allow label‐free discrimination of distinct subcellular structures in the pancreas of living zebrafish larvae. Given the straightforward applicability, we anticipate broad implementation of Raman microscopy in other organs and across various biomedical ...

Well-Test Interpretation Model of Water-Injection Well in a Low-Permeability Reservoir and Its Application

open access: yesEnergies
For low-permeability reservoirs, water-flooding development is usually adopted, which leads to induced fractures near the wellbore, increasing reservoir heterogeneity, and making water-flooding development more complex.

Revisiting Stability Criteria in Ball‐Milled High‐Entropy Alloys: Do Hume–Rothery and Thermodynamic Rules Equally Apply?

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.

Research on the integrated calculation method of current recovery and limited recovery in tight sandstone gas reservoirs

open access: yesFrontiers in Earth Science
Considering the differences in reserves and their utilization among gas reservoir area, utilization area and swept area, a reserves zoning producing model was established, and a method for integrating current recovery and limited recovery in gas ...
