Ionic Hydrogel Triboelectric Sensor for Real‐Time Swimming Kinematics Monitoring and Stroke Recognition

open access: yesChemistryOpen, Volume 15, Issue 5, May 2026.
A flexible self‐powered triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG) based on PVA/Ala/CaCl2 hydrogel is developed for motion sensing. The device exhibits stable electrical output and good mechanical properties. It enables real‐time monitoring of human joint movements and demonstrates potential for swimming motion monitoring and wearable smart sports applications.
