Switched-capacitor filters

1996
The filters we have studied in the two previous chapters are primarily based on the assumption that they are to be implemented in discrete or hybrid forms - thick-film or thin-film. Although the op amp may be fabricated in integrated-circuit (IC) form (sometimes in groups), it is actually treated as a separate entity for our purposes.

Switched-Capacitor Circuits

2014
This chapter introduces SC circuits. A brief description is given for the main building blocks of a SC filter (operational amplifiers, switches, capacitors, and non-overlapping clock phases). A few examples of SC resistor emulation circuits are presented along with their equivalent resistance. Two examples of SC integrators are also shown, one with the

Switched-capacitor filters

20th Annual IEEE Power Electronics Specialists Conference, 1990
A novel technique for building active filters using switched-capacitor (SC) circuits is proposed. The principle of operation, methods of control, and analysis and design of a typical SC filter are presented. To assess its effectiveness, the technique is used to control input current harmonics in a phase-controlled converter. It is shown that by using a

Switched-Capacitor Filters

2019
It is rare that a new discipline can be traced back to the publication of a single paper. Information theory is such a discipline. Another, although less dramatic, is the discipline of switched capacitors. In a 1977 paper by Hosticka, Broderson, and Grey of Berkeley University entitled “MOS Sampled-Data Recursive Filters Using State-Variable Techniques,

Switched-Capacitor Circuits

2016
The elusive goal of the lossless charge transfer from one circuit node to another has been the main focus of analog sampled-data processing starting from the bucket brigade and CCD to switched-capacitor circuits. Opamp with capacitive feedback is the most accurate analog component that can sample and amplify signal with highest accuracy.

A switched-capacitor adaptive lattice filter

IEEE Transactions on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing, 1983
Integration of an adaptive lattice filter in MOS-LSI technology is described. The architecture is designed to optimally exploit the advantages of analog and digital approaches. Switched-capacitor techniques are used for filtering and digital circuitry is used to perform the adaption.

A Quadrature Switched Capacitor Power Amplifier

IEEE Journal of Solid-State Circuits, 2016
This paper presents an all-digital class-G quadrature switched-capacitor power amplifier (Q-SCPA) implemented in 65 nm CMOS. It combines in-phase ( I ) and quadrature ( Q ) signals on a shared capacitor array. The I / Q signals are digitally weighted and combined in the charge domain.

An interference-insensitive switched-capacitor CDC

2017 Eleventh International Conference on Sensing Technology (ICST), 2017
A new interference-insensitive Switched Capacitor (SC) Capacitance-to-Digital Converter (CDC) is presented in this paper. The insensitivity is achieved by the conversion mechanism itself. It is a combination of a SC relaxation oscillator and an integrating type analog-to-digital converter whose integration time is made an integer multiple of the time ...

Switched-Capacitor Circuits

2006
In this chapter, some trade-offs to be faced by an SC circuit designer are proposed. SC technique gained a large popularity in the past and it seems to be mature to be able to give excellent response for the future requirements of mixed-signal systems. However, the actual trends towards scaled-down technology, low-voltage and/or high-frequency systems ...
