Fully Integrated Switched-Capacitor Fundamentals

2020
As discussed in Chap. 1, there is a clear drive towards monolithic power conversion, and SC converters in particular are an excellent candidate for full integration. Before proceeding to more advanced topics, this chapter will go over the fundamental principles behind SC DC–DC converters.

A gain-compensated switched capacitor integrator

1998 Midwest Symposium on Circuits and Systems (Cat. No. 98CB36268), 2002
A topology of switched capacitor integrator with gain compensation is proposed. It employs the same input as in the integrating phase during the calibration cycle to compensate for the integrating pole error due to the finite gain of the op-amp, and it eliminates the need of a "slow motion input" requirement.

CMOS Switched-Capacitor Integrator

Russian Microelectronics, 2003
A switched-capacitor integrator is designed, and its performance is evaluated by computer simulation. The integrator is intended to operate in ΣΔ-modulation ADCs realized in basic CMOS technology. A circuit diagram of the integrator is shown. The results of a transient analysis are presented.

A Third-Order Integrated Passive Switched-Capacitor Filter Obtained With a Continuous-Time Design Approach

IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems Part 1: Regular Papers, 2019
A third-order passive switched-capacitor low-pass filter is presented together with experimental results. The current input-voltage output filter structure realizes complex-conjugate poles although it is composed of switches and capacitors.

An integrated switched capacitor filter design system

1989 Proceedings of the IEEE Custom Integrated Circuits Conference, 1989
A CAD (computer-aided design) system integrating filter function design, circuit design, and layout is discussed. The core numerical optimization sizer uses full-accuracy models, including nonideal effects. Both interactive and highly automatic, the system allows completion of demanding, nonstandard switched-capacitor filter designs in one ...

Design of Switch Capacitor Integrator for DRSSADC

2006 8th International Conference on Solid-State and Integrated Circuit Technology Proceedings, 2006
Switch capacitor integrator circuits for dual-ramp-single-slop analog to digital converter (DRSSADC) is designed. The switch capacitor integrator uses a fully differential topology combined with input-to-output class AB amplifier and improved switch. Using the methods of Monte Carlo analysis and HSPICE simulation, the paper emphasizes to present design

High-Gain-Integrated Switched Capacitor Indirect Matrix Converter

IEEE Journal of Emerging and Selected Topics in Power Electronics, 2019
An ultrasparse matrix converter (USMC) is a derived form of an indirect matrix converter having a less number of switches. Even though it has unidirectional power flow capability, it is a quite appropriate candidate for specific applications, such as wind-energy systems, electrohydrostatic actuators, variable speed drives, and so on.

Novel switched-capacitor integrator for high-frequency applications

IEE Proceedings G Circuits, Devices and Systems, 1989
A discrete integrator for switched-capacitor (SC) filter applications is developed. The proposed integrator is generated from an optimal linear combination of the lossless discrete integrator (LDI) and the bilinear discrete integrator, and therefore it is called the composite discrete integrator (CDI).

Efficient design of integrated switched-capacitor decimation filters

IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems II: Analog and Digital Signal Processing, 2000
The infinite-impulse response (IIR) switched-capacitor (SC) decimation filter scheme proposed in this brief is based on the polyphase decomposition of an Mth band IIR low-pass filter, and uses first- and second-order all-pass SC filters as basic building blocks, operating at the lower sampling rate, resulting in reduced power consumption, capacitance ...
