Switch mode power supply scalability

2008 International Symposium on Power Electronics, Electrical Drives, Automation and Motion, 2008
As the requirements for electronic inside home appliances are growing, many electronics control boards are being developed to increase the output power. A good way to reduce the number of electronic boards developed is using switch mode power supplies, which can delivery a wide range of output power using the same topology.

Power Transformers for Switched Mode Power Supplies

IEEE Transactions on Consumer Electronics, 1985
The magnetic circuit of power transformers for switched mode power supplies is analyzed, and formulas are derived. A counter-biasing permanent magnet may be included in the magnetic circuit to increase the range of utilization of the magnetic saturated flux density Bs of the ferrite cores.

Switch-Mode Power Supplies

1993
DC power supplies - either regulated or not - are needed in industrial equipment, in order to supply systems or part of systems with a suitable DC voltage. In the majority of cases, these supplies are fed from the single-phase industrial network.

"A Switch Mode Power Supply"

INTELEC '82 - International Telecommunications Energy Conference, 1982
A companion paper (New and Wittey) describes a new Power Equipment Rack concept. The present paper describes the design of a SMPS for the new rack. The SMPS operates on 240V 50Hz s.p. A.C., producing a nominal 28A D.C. at a preset level between 52 and 58V D.C.

Switched-mode Power Supplies

1987
A switched-mode power supply (snips) or switching regulator efficiently converts a dc voltage level to another dc voltage level at power levels below a few kilowatts.

Switched-mode laser power supply

SPIE Proceedings, 2001
A switched-mode laser power supply (SMPS) for driving He-Ne lasers is presented. It uses an integrated SMPS control circuit to drive a flyback converter running in discontinuous current mode. The IC controls the SMPS power throughput and regulation by pulse-width modulation (PWM) of a fixed frequency drive signal for a bipolar power switching ...

Switch Mode Power Supply, New Concept

1991 IEEE International Conference on Consumer Electronics, 2005
A new power supply concept is described. Using the main transformer to transfer the secorrdary regulation signal on a primary winding, a new developed IC controls the primary and secondary voltages to provide more protection in case of disturbance.
