Power Transformers for Switched Mode Power Supplies
IEEE Transactions on Consumer Electronics, 1985The magnetic circuit of power transformers for switched mode power supplies is analyzed, and formulas are derived. A counter-biasing permanent magnet may be included in the magnetic circuit to increase the range of utilization of the magnetic saturated flux density Bs of the ferrite cores.

DC power supplies - either regulated or not - are needed in industrial equipment, in order to supply systems or part of systems with a suitable DC voltage. In the majority of cases, these supplies are fed from the single-phase industrial network.

INTELEC '82 - International Telecommunications Energy Conference, 1982
A companion paper (New and Wittey) describes a new Power Equipment Rack concept. The present paper describes the design of a SMPS for the new rack. The SMPS operates on 240V 50Hz s.p. A.C., producing a nominal 28A D.C. at a preset level between 52 and 58V D.C.

Switched-mode laser power supply
SPIE Proceedings, 2001A switched-mode laser power supply (SMPS) for driving He-Ne lasers is presented. It uses an integrated SMPS control circuit to drive a flyback converter running in discontinuous current mode. The IC controls the SMPS power throughput and regulation by pulse-width modulation (PWM) of a fixed frequency drive signal for a bipolar power switching ...

Switch Mode Power Supply, New Concept
1991 IEEE International Conference on Consumer Electronics, 2005A new power supply concept is described. Using the main transformer to transfer the secorrdary regulation signal on a primary winding, a new developed IC controls the primary and secondary voltages to provide more protection in case of disturbance.

High active mode efficiency switching mode power supply
2008 Twenty-Third Annual IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition, 2008Power supply standby mode efficiency has attracted much of the focus in the past years. However, larger total energy use and energy savings opportunities were in power supplies' active mode [1]. Recently, higher active mode efficiency was required and the 80 PLUS program has become one of the specification of ENERGY STAR.

APPLICATION OF SLIDING MODE CONTROL TO SWITCH-MODE POWER SUPPLIES
Journal of Circuits, Systems and Computers, 1995Switch-mode power supplies represent a particular class of variable structure systems (VSS). Thus, they can take advantage of non-linear control techniques developed for this class of systems. In this paper the so called sliding mode control is reviewed and its application to switch-mode power supplies is discussed.

A self-powered supply circuit for switching mode power supply
2017 IEEE 12th International Conference on ASIC (ASICON), 2017The paper presents a self-powered supply circuit for high-voltage switching mode power supply (SMPS), such as buck or flyback. It can make whole SMPS converters more efficient. The proposed supply circuit is realized by the energy recycling of power MOSFET switching procedure. Firstly, dV/dt at the drain terminal of power MOSFET is detected.
