Self‐Sensing Artificial‐Muscle‐Empowered Humanlike Perception, Interaction, and Positioning

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, Volume 7, Issue 3, March 2025.
The proposed self‐sensorized artificial muscle (SSAM) can sense its length change as small as 0.01 mm via a seamlessly integrated multi‐segment induction coil. The SSAM provides accurate length information regardless of its loadings, driving pressure, or muscle design, adequate for robust data‐driven feedback control.

Review of Memristors for In‐Memory Computing and Spiking Neural Networks

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
Memristors uniquely enable energy‐efficient, brain‐inspired computing by acting as both memory and synaptic elements. This review highlights their physical mechanisms, integration in crossbar arrays, and role in spiking neural networks. Key challenges, including variability, relaxation, and stochastic switching, are discussed, alongside emerging ...

Calculation of Magnetic Losses with Non-Uniform Distribution of Magnetic Induction in the Stator Tooth of a Switched Reluctance Motor [PDF]

open access: yesProblems of the Regional Energetics
The aim of this study is to investigate and determine the effect of accounting for the non-uniform distribution of magnetic induction (by detailing the stator tooth model) on the calculation results of magnetic losses in the stator teeth of a switched ...

Performance Optimization in Switched Reluctance Motor Drives [PDF]

open access: yesKey Engineering Materials, 2011
In this paper, switched reluctance motors (SRM) are proposed as an alternative for electric power assisted steering (EPAS) applications. A prototype machine has been developed as very attractive design for a steering electric motor, both from a cost and size perspective. A four-phase 8/6 SRM drive is designed for a rack type EPAS which should provide a

Participation for mental health service development in China: Conditions, challenges, facilitators, and outcomes

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Community Psychology, EarlyView.
Abstract This study analyzes a participatory project to develop peer support services for people with serious mental illnesses (SMIs) in China. Drawing on interviews with psychiatrists, social workers, service users, and a family caregiver, it examines the conditions, challenges, facilitators, and outcomes of participation in a paternalistic context ...

Optimal current waveforms for switched-reluctance motors [PDF]

open access: yes2016 IEEE Conference on Control Applications (CCA), 2016
In this paper, we address the problem of finding current waveforms for a switched reluctance motor that minimize a user-defined combination of torque ripple and RMS current. The motor model we use is fairly general, and includes magnetic saturation, voltage and current limits, and highly coupled magnetics (and therefore, unconventional geometries and ...

Flux-linkage characteristics of switched reluctance motor [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of International Conference on Power Electronics, Drives and Energy Systems for Industrial Growth, 2002
An important requirement in the modelling of switched reluctance motors (SRM) is the knowledge of their flux-linkage characteristics. Idealisation of the flux-linkage characteristics will result in a model which cannot predict the performance of the machine with sufficient accuracy. It is necessary therefore to determine flux-linkage characteristics as

Suppression of Torque Ripple in Switched Reluctance Motors Which is Based on Synchronization Technology

open access: yesEAI Endorsed Transactions on Energy Web
The double salient pole structure of Switched Reluctance Motor (SRM) makes its electromagnetic field exist nonlinear saturation characteristics, resulting in its large torque pulsation in operation, so it is difficult  to achieve speed regulation ...

Analysis and Design of a Speed Controller for Switched Reluctance Motor Drive

open access: yesU.Porto Journal of Engineering, 2019
This paper presents a high precision speed control of the reluctance machine for electric drive applications. To get high resolution speed control, it is developed a cascade control algorithm based on linear control technique. The controller was designed

Adaptive neuro-fuzzy controller of switched reluctance motor [PDF]

open access: yesSerbian Journal of Electrical Engineering, 2007
This paper presents an application of adaptive neuro-fuzzy (ANFIS) control for switched reluctance motor (SRM) speed. The ANFIS has the advantages of expert knowledge of the fuzzy inference system and the learning capability of neural networks.
