Where God Is Becoming: Anime, Theosis, and the Sacred in Process

open access: yesReligions
This article explores how Japanese anime has become a space of theological imagination, where viewers encounter the divine not as fixed dogma but as a lived process.

Double symbolic joint entropy in nonlinear dynamic complexity analysis

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2017
Symbolizations, the base of symbolic dynamic analysis, are classified as global static and local dynamic approaches which are combined by joint entropy in our works for nonlinear dynamic complexity analysis.

Investigating the Low‐Temperature Phase Stability of the Binary Ta–W System

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Atomistic simulations show that the binary Ta–W system forms ordered intermetallic phases, B2‐TaW and D03‐TaW3, as 0 K ground states. Configurational entropy, however, lowers the free energy of the disordered bcc solid solution, which becomes the stable phase above about 400 K.

Symbolic Computing in Probabilistic and Stochastic Analysis

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science, 2015
The main aim is to present recent developments in applications of symbolic computing in probabilistic and stochastic analysis, and this is done using the example of the well-known MAPLE system.

A Unified Symbolic Analysis of WireGuard

open access: yesProceedings 2024 Network and Distributed System Security Symposium
WireGuard [22], [21] is a Virtual Private Network (VPN), presented at NDSS 2017, recently integrated into the Linux Kernel [57] and paid commercial VPNs such as NordVPN, Mullvad and ProtonVPN [56]. It proposes a different approach from other classical VPN such as IPsec [29] or OpenVPN [48]because it does not let users configure cryptographic algorithms.

Effect of Cu and CuP Additions on the Microstructure and Nanoindentation‐Based Fracture Behavior of CoNiAlSi Ferromagnetic Shape Memory Alloys

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Cu and combined Cu–P microalloying refine the microstructure and enhance the nanoindentation‐derived fracture resistance of CoNiAlSi ferromagnetic shape memory alloys without suppressing the martensitic transformation. Comparative SEM, DSC, and nanoindentation results reveal that the CuP‐containing alloy provides the most balanced response, achieving ...

Counterion Dependent Side‐Chain Relaxation Stiffens a Chemically Doped Thienothiophene Copolymer

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Oxidation of a thienothiophene copolymer, p(g3TT‐T2), via different doping strategies and dopant molecules resulted in materials with similar oxidation levels and a high electrical conductivity of ≈100 S cm−1. However, mechanical properties varied significantly, with sub‐glass transition temperatures and elastic moduli spanning from –44°C to –3°C and ...

Application of motor fault detection based on symbolic time series analysis

open access: yes, 2011
An improved method of motor detection based on symbolic time series analysis is proposed, and the method adaptively partition off the region which has the most symbols in the symbolic series into two new regions, which enhances the sensitive degree of ...

Symbolic model checking of logics with actions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Reasoning about agents and modalities such as knowledge and belief leads to models where different relations over states co-exist, or equivalently, where information (labels, actions) is associated to state transitions.
