Memory and Resting‐State Connectivity in Acute Transient Global Amnesia: A Case–Control fMRI Study

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background and Objectives Transient global amnesia (TGA) is a striking model of isolated amnesia. While hippocampal lesions are well described, the network‐level mechanisms and the precise neuropsychological profile remain debated. Our objective was thus to characterize functional and neuropsychological correlates of acute TGA and their ...

Neural-Symbolic Learning and Reasoning : Contributions and Challenges

open access: yes, 2015
Neural-symbolic computation aims at integrating robust connectionist learning algorithms with sound symbolic rea-soning. The recent impact of neural learning, in particular of deep networks, has led to the creation of new representa-tions that have, so ...

Early Clinical, Imaging, and Pathological Characteristics of SRPK3/TTN‐Digenic Myopathy

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective SRPK3/TTN‐digenic myopathy was recently established as a skeletal muscle myopathy caused by digenic inheritance. This study characterizes the early clinical presentation of SRPK3/TTN‐digenic myopathy in one previously reported and seven newly identified pediatric patients.

Upper Cervical Cord Area as a Biomarker of Conversion to Secondary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective This study assessed whether upper cervical cord area (UCCA) measured on routine brain MRI can serve as a biomarker of conversion to SPMS. Methods This is a single‐center retrospective cohort study of RRMS patients with cross‐sectional and longitudinal analyses of clinical and MRI data. Future SPMS converters were matched by age, sex,

Revisiting Stability Criteria in Ball‐Milled High‐Entropy Alloys: Do Hume–Rothery and Thermodynamic Rules Equally Apply?

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.

The 3-loop non-singlet heavy flavor contributions and anomalous dimensions for the structure function F2(x,Q2) and transversity

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 2014
We calculate the massive flavor non-singlet Wilson coefficient for the heavy flavor contributions to the structure function F2(x,Q2) in the asymptotic region Q2≫m2 and the associated operator matrix element Aqq,Q(3),NS(N) to 3-loop order in Quantum ...
