Sesquilinear quantum stochastic analysis in Banach space [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
A theory of quantum stochastic processes in Banach space is initiated. The processes considered here consist of Banach space valued sesquilinear maps.

$\Gamma$-structures and symmetric spaces

open access: yes, 2016
$\Gamma$-structures are weak forms of multiplications on closed oriented manifolds. As shown by Hopf the rational cohomology algebras of manifolds admitting $\Gamma$-structures are free over odd degree generators. We prove that this condition is also sufficient for the existence of $\Gamma$-structures on manifolds which are nilpotent in the sense of ...

Influence of Geometric Design on Mechanical Performance of Auxetic Metastructure

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Strategic geometric reinforcement transforms auxetic performance. This study evaluates 3D‐printed arrowhead metastructures, revealing that a modified design with local ring reinforcement suppresses premature failure to achieve superior energy absorption and structural efficiency.

Secondary range symmetric matrices [version 2; peer review: 2 approved, 1 approved with reservations]

open access: yesF1000Research
The concept of secondary range symmetric matrices is introduced here. Some characterizations as well as the equivalent conditions for a range symmetric matrix to be secondary range symmetric matrix is given.

Precipitation Simulations of the O‐Phase in Ti2AlNb Alloys Processed by Laser Powder Bed Fusion

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Simulated and experimental evolution of the O‐phase volume fraction during postprocessing of a Ti‐21Al‐25Nb (at.%) alloy processed by laser powder bed fusion. With results of sensitivity to input parameters from a thorough and quantified analysis, the interfacial energy matrix/precipitate is the most relevant input parameter for the simulation of the O‐

Experimental and Numerical Modal Analysis of Composite Sandwich Structures Using Surfboards as Model Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This article presents an experimental and numerical modal investigation of composite sandwich structures using surfboards as model systems. By comparing different core materials and reinforcement strategies, the study demonstrates how local stiffeners influence vibrational response and introduce characteristic modal features, highlighting modal ...

Kahler manifolds and their relatives

open access: yes, 2010
Let M1 and M2 be two K¨ahler manifolds. We call M1 and M2 relatives if they share a non-trivial K¨ahler submanifold S, namely, if there exist two holomorphic and isometric immersions (K¨ahler immersions) h1 : S → M1 and h2 : S → M2. Moreover, two K¨ahler

Triple Junctions as Dislocation‐Like Defects: The Role of Grain Boundary Crystallography Revealed by Experiment and Atomistic Simulation

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Grain boundary triple junctions are an essential ingredient of the microstructure of polycrystalline materials. In this study, a triple junction is observed using atomic‐resolution scanning transmission electron microscopy and characterized. Computer simulations reveal that the junction has a dislocation character that is determined by the joining ...
