Symmetric Domains and Symmetric Spaces
2000A domain \( D \subset {\mathbb{C}^n} \) is said to be a bounded symmetric domain if it is bounded and if for every z in D there exists an automorphism \( {s_z} \in G(D) \)such that s z is involutive (i.e. s z o s z = id) and z is an isolated fixed point of s z .
