Mathematical Analysis of a Generalized Chiral Quark Soliton Model

open access: yesSymmetry, Integrability and Geometry: Methods and Applications, 2006
A generalized version of the so-called chiral quark soliton model (CQSM) in nuclear physics is introduced. The Hamiltonian of the generalized CQSM is given by a Dirac type operator with a mass term being an operator-valued function.

Twistors, the ASD Yang-Mills equations and 4d Chern-Simons theory

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
We show that the approaches to integrable systems via 4d Chern-Simons theory and via symmetry reductions of the anti-self-dual Yang-Mills equations are closely related, at least classically.

PDEs reduction and \(lambda\)-symmetries

open access: yes, 2004
Lie symmetry theory provide us, via symmetry reductions, with one of the most important approaches to the explicit construction of closed-form solutions for nonlinear differential equations. For ordinary differential equations \textit{C. Muriel} and \textit{J. L. Romero} [IMA J. Appl. Math. 66, No.

Portable Low‐Field Magnetic Resonance Imaging in People With Human Immunodeficiency Virus

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective The aging population of people with HIV (PWH) raises heightened concerns regarding accelerated aging and dementia. Portable, low‐field MRI (LF‐MRI) is an innovative technology that could enhance access and facilitate routine monitoring of PWH.

Mixed Fourier-Legendre Spectral Methods for the Multiple Solutions of the Schrodinger Equation on the Unit Disk

open access: yesMathematical Modelling and Analysis, 2017
In this paper, we first compute the multiple non-trivial solutions of the Schrodinger equation on a unit disk, by using the Liapunov-Schmidt reduction and symmetry-breaking bifurcation theory, combined with the mixed Fourier-Legendre spectral and ...

Numerical Simulation and Symmetry Reduction of a Two-Component Reaction-Diffusion System

open access: yesAdvances in Mathematical Physics, 2020
In this paper, the symmetry classification and symmetry reduction of a two-component reaction-diffusion system are investigated, the reaction-diffusion system can be reduced to system of ordinary differential equations, and the solutions and numerical ...

Nonholonomic systems with symmetry allowing a conformally symplectic reduction

open access: yes, 2002
Non-holonomic mechanical systems can be described by a degenerate almost-Poisson structure (dropping the Jacobi identity) in the constrained space. If enough symmetries transversal to the constraints are present, the system reduces to a nondegenerate ...

Involution and symmetry reductions

open access: yesMathematical and Computer Modelling, 1997
The author discusses the completion of a system of differential equations to an involutive one. Applications of the concept of involution to symmetry theory are considered. The author studies local solvability of differential equations, gauge symmetry, and reduction of a system of ordinary differential equations.

Daratumumab Treatment for Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyradiculoneuropathy (CIDP): A Case Report

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyradiculoneuropathy (CIDP) is an immune‐mediated neuropathy featuring progressive weakness, sensory deficits, and areflexia. While corticosteroids, intravenous immunoglobulin, and plasmapheresis are effective first‐line immunotherapies, a subset of patients remains treatment‐refractory.
