Siegel–Veech constants for cyclic covers of generic translation surfaces

open access: yesJournal of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 113, Issue 1, January 2026.
Abstract We compute the asymptotic number of cylinders, weighted by their area to any nonnegative power, on any cyclic branched cover of any generic translation surface in any stratum. Our formulae depend only on topological invariants of the cover and number‐theoretic properties of the degree: in particular, the ratio of the related Siegel–Veech ...

Metaplectic operators with quasi‐diagonal kernels

open access: yesMathematische Nachrichten, Volume 298, Issue 12, Page 3618-3638, December 2025.
Abstract Metaplectic operators form a relevant class of operators appearing in different applications, in this work we study their Schwartz kernels. Namely, diagonality of a kernel is defined by imposing rapid off‐diagonal decay conditions, and quasi‐diagonality by imposing the same conditions on the smoothing of the kernel through convolution with the

Compactifications of strata of differentials

open access: yesBulletin of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 57, Issue 12, Page 3621-3636, December 2025.
Abstract In this informal expository note, we quickly introduce and survey compactifications of strata of holomorphic 1‐forms on Riemann surfaces, that is, spaces of translation surfaces. In the last decade, several of these have been constructed, studied, and successfully applied to problems.

Agricultural commodity futures prices prediction based on a new hybrid forecasting model combining quadratic decomposition technology and LSTM model

open access: yesFrontiers in Sustainable Food Systems
The stability of agricultural futures market is of great significance to social economy and agri-cultural development. In view of the complexity of the fluctuation of agricultural futures prices, it is challenging to make up for the shortcomings of the ...

Maximal symplectic torus actions

open access: yesBulletin of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 57, Issue 12, Page 4132-4148, December 2025.
Abstract There are several different notions of maximal torus actions on smooth manifolds, in various contexts: symplectic, Riemannian, complex. In the symplectic context, for the so‐called isotropy‐maximal actions, as well as for the weaker notion of almost isotropy‐maximal actions, we give classifications up to equivariant symplectomorphism.

Accuracy-Improved Fault Diagnosis Method for Rolling Bearing Based on Enhanced ESGMD-CC and BA-ELM Model

open access: yesShock and Vibration
The current methods for early fault diagnosis of rolling bearing have some flaws, such as poor fault feature information and insufficient fault feature extraction capability, which makes it challenging to guarantee fault diagnosis accuracy.

Model category structures on truncated multicomplexes for complex geometry

open access: yesBulletin of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 57, Issue 12, Page 4163-4177, December 2025.
Abstract To a bicomplex one can associate two natural filtrations, the column and row filtrations, and then two associated spectral sequences. This can be generalized to N$N$‐multicomplexes. We present a family of model category structures on the category of N$N$‐multicomplexes where the weak equivalences are the morphisms inducing a quasi‐isomorphism ...

Impact Features Extracting Method for a Reciprocating Compressor Based on the ABC-SGMD Model

open access: yesApplied Sciences
In the typical vibration signal of a reciprocating air compressor, multi-source nonlinear characteristics are exhibited and are often drowned out in background noise, which leads to a lack of robustness in traditional feature analysis methods and ...

The contact cut graph and a Weinstein L$\mathcal {L}$‐invariant

open access: yesTransactions of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 12, Issue 1, December 2025.
Abstract We define and study the contact cut graph which is an analogue of Hatcher and Thurston's cut graph for contact geometry, inspired by contact Heegaard splittings (Giroux, Proceedings of the International Congress of Mathematicians, Beijing, 2002; Torisu, Internat. Math. Res. Notices (2000), 441–454).

Floer theory for the variation operator of an isolated singularity

open access: yesJournal of Topology, Volume 18, Issue 4, December 2025.
Abstract The variation operator in singularity theory maps relative homology cycles to compact cycles in the Milnor fiber using the monodromy. We construct its symplectic analog for an isolated singularity. We define the monodromy Lagrangian Floer cohomology, which provides categorifications of the standard theorems on the variation operator and the ...
