Impact Features Extracting Method for a Reciprocating Compressor Based on the ABC-SGMD Model
In the typical vibration signal of a reciprocating air compressor, multi-source nonlinear characteristics are exhibited and are often drowned out in background noise, which leads to a lack of robustness in traditional feature analysis methods and ...

Quantum optics in the phase space - A tutorial on Gaussian states
In this tutorial, we introduce the basic concepts and mathematical tools needed for phase-space description of a very common class of states, whose phase properties are described by Gaussian Wigner functions: the Gaussian states.

Taking limits in topological recursion
Abstract When does topological recursion applied to a family of spectral curves commute with taking limits? This problem is subtle, especially when the ramification structure of the spectral curve changes at the limit point. We provide sufficient (straightforward‐to‐use) conditions for checking when the commutation with limits holds, thereby closing a ...

Parity of ranks of Jacobians of curves
Abstract We investigate Selmer groups of Jacobians of curves that admit an action of a non‐trivial group of automorphisms, and give applications to the study of the parity of Selmer ranks. Under the Shafarevich–Tate conjecture, we give an expression for the parity of the Mordell–Weil rank of an arbitrary Jacobian in terms of purely local invariants ...

Complex Numbers, Quantum Mechanics and the Beginning of Time
A basic problem in quantizing a field in curved space is the decomposition of the classical modes in positive and negative frequency. The decomposition is equivalent to a choice of a complex structure in the space of classical solutions.

A topological algorithm for the Fourier transform of Stokes data at infinity
Abstract We give a topological description of the behaviour of Stokes matrices under the Fourier transform from infinity to infinity in a large number of cases of one level. This explicit, algorithmic statement is obtained by building on a recent result of T.

Modeling General Asymptotic Calabi–Yau Periods
Abstract In the quest to uncovering the fundamental structures that underlie some of the asymptotic Swampland conjectures the authors initiate the general study of asymptotic period vectors of Calabi–Yau manifolds. The strategy is to exploit the constraints imposed by completeness, symmetry, and positivity, which are formalized in asymptotic Hodge ...

The birational geometry of GIT quotients
Abstract Geometric invariant theory (GIT) produces quotients of algebraic varieties by reductive groups. If the variety is projective, this quotient depends on a choice of polarisation; by work of Dolgachev–Hu and Thaddeus, it is known that two quotients of the same variety using different polarisations are related by birational transformations.

Continuity of HYM connections with respect to metric variations
Abstract We investigate the set of (real Dolbeault classes of) balanced metrics Θ$\Theta$ on a balanced manifold X$X$ with respect to which a torsion‐free coherent sheaf E$\mathcal {E}$ on X$X$ is slope stable. We prove that the set of all such [Θ]∈Hn−1,n−1(X,R)$[\Theta] \in H^{n - 1,n - 1}(X,\mathbb {R})$ is an open convex cone locally defined by a ...

The $c$-map, Tits Satake subalgebras and the search for $\mathcal{N}=2$ inflaton potentials
In this paper we address the general problem of including inflationary models exhibiting Starobinsky-like potentials into (symmetric) $\mathcal{N}=2$ supergravities.
