Partial Phase Synchronization for Multivariate Synchronizing Systems

Physical Review Letters, 2006
Graphical models applying partial coherence to multivariate time series are a powerful tool to distinguish direct and indirect interdependencies in multivariate linear systems. We carry over the concept of graphical models and partialization analysis to phase signals of nonlinear synchronizing systems.

Synchronization and Lag Synchronization of Chaotic Networks

2009
In this paper, we investigates synchronization dynamics of hyperchaotic neural networks by using proper nonlinear feedback controllers. Globally exponential lag synchronization (GELS) include globally exponential synchronization (GES) are studied. We obtain the Lyapunov stability criteria for the globally exponential lag synchronization.

On synchronous coding

Proceedings. International Conference on Information Technology: Coding and Computing, 2005
Novel synchronous coding schemes are introduced and relationships between optimal synchronous codes and Huffman codes are also discussed. Although the problem of existence of optimal synchronous codes has not been resolved yet, we show that any synchronous code can consider as an optimal synchronous code for some information source and that there ...

Comparison of synchronous and synchronized cell division

Experimental Cell Research, 1964
Summary The evaluation of division synchrony by means of a synchronization index (SI) allows a comparison of various systems under constant or changing conditions. Such a comparison can be used in the evaluation of the controversial “normality” of a system and aid in the search for the effect of environmental changes on the life cycle of cells in ...

Synchronization and Synchronous Oscillators

1980
Synchronization is an important phenomenon which has applications for reliable and efficient communications systems and other fields. The concept of synchronization originated in the 17th century with Huygens, who reported that two clocks which were slightly out of step with each other became synchronized when hung on a thin wooden board.

Global Synchronization

2018
In this chapter, we discuss the most studied form of synchronization in a network, where all the units asymptotically converge toward the same trajectory. After describing the phenomenon and the measures to characterize it, we illustrate the methods for the study of the stability and present some results on how to control it.

How synchronic is synchronic analysis?

2009
Siberian Yupik (SY) is considered a classical agglutinative polysynthetic language. Linguists often regard agglutination as more cumbersome but structurally less complicated than other morphological types. Consequently, in agglutinative languages, grammatical meanings are expected to be expressed by elements of a single level: standard morphemes ...
