Stability Bounds for Synchronized Chaos
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2003Synchronization of coupled chaotic systems has found applications in a variety of fields including communications, optics, neural networks and geophysics. An essential prerequisite for these applications is to know the bounds on the coupling strengths so that the stability of the synchronous state is ensured.

MASTER STABILITY FUNCTIONS FOR SYNCHRONIZED COUPLED SYSTEMS
International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, 1998We show that many coupled oscillator array configurations considered in the literature can be put into a simple form so that determining the stability of the synchronous state can be done by a master stability function which solves, once and for all, the problem of synchronous stability for many couplings of that oscillator.

Absolute Stability Theory and the Synchronization Problem
International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, 1997Several results on synchronization by Pecora and Carroll [1991], Cuomo and Oppenheim [1993] and Wu and Chua [1994] are evaluated in the context of absolute stability theory, with significant generalizations being achieved. A robustness property of the resulting synchronization criteria is established.

Synchronous municipal sewerage-sludge stabilization.
Journal of environmental sciences (China), 2005A study on a pilot plant accomplishing synchronous municipal sewerage-sludge stabilization was conducted at a municipal sewerage treatment plant. Stabilization of sewerage and sludge is achieved in three-step process: anaerobic reactor, roughing filter and a microbial-earthworm-ecofilter.

Absolute Stability Theory and Master-Slave Synchronization
International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, 1997In this note we indicate the manner in which synchronization criteria may be developed for master-slave connected Lur'e systems. For flexibility we incorporate linear, static state feedback. The criteria presented are based on the generation of Lur'e–Postnikov type Lyapunov functions for the error system.

Self-stabilization of synchronously mode-locked lasers
Optics Letters, 1990An empty and highly attenuating external cavity was recently shown to have a powerful stabilizing influence on a synchronously mode-locked laser. Numerical simulations presented here demonstrate how this stabilization technique works. For an external cavity marginally shorter than the main cavity, the extremely weak reinjected signal isolates the mode ...
