Symmetry-Independent Stability Analysis of Synchronization Patterns [PDF]
The field of network synchronization has seen tremendous growth following the introduction of the master stability function (MSF) formalism, which enables the efficient stability analysis of synchronization in large oscillator networks. However, to make further progress we must overcome the limitations of this celebrated formalism, which focuses on ...

Snap-Stabilizing k-Wave Synchronizer [PDF]
We propose a snap-stabilizingk-wave algorithm for routed trees, called kWA, which implements k consecutive waves, k > 1. A snap-stabilizing algorithm, starting from an arbitrary system configuration, always behaves according to its specification. The maximum number of states per process is 2k + 1, better than the previous result of at most 3k states ...

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...

This study identifies somatostatin receptor 4 (Sstr4) as a critical tumor suppressor against skin and head/neck cancers (HNSCC, cSCC, and BCC). The loss of Sstr4 removes a check on cell growth, causing hyperactivation of the MAPK‐ERK signaling pathway (↑).
