Dynamics and Stability of Permanent‐Magnet Synchronous Motor [PDF]

open access: yesMathematical Problems in Engineering, 2017
The aim of this article is to explore the dynamic characteristics and stability of the permanent‐magnet synchronous motor (PMSM). PMSM equilibrium local stability condition and Hopf  bifurcation condition, pitchfork bifurcation condition, and fold bifurcation condition have been derived by using the Routh‐Hurwitz criterion and the bifurcation theory ...

Synchronization and Transient Stability in Power Networks and Non-Uniform Kuramoto Oscillators [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Motivated by recent interest for multi-agent systems and smart power grid architectures, we discuss the synchronization problem for the network-reduced model of a power system with non-trivial transfer conductances.

BMI‐1 modulation and trafficking during M phase in diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The schematic illustrates BMI‐1 phosphorylation during M phase, which triggers its translocation from the nucleus to the cytoplasm. In cycling cells, BMI‐1 functions within the PRC1 complex to mediate H2A K119 monoubiquitination. Following PTC596‐induced M phase arrest, phosphorylated BMI‐1 dissociates from PRC1 and is exported to the cytoplasm via its

Equivalent circuit model of grid-forming-converter based power grids: Visualizing control loop interactions on synchronization stability

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrical Power & Energy Systems
For grid-forming (GFM) converter-based power grids, the impacts of AC voltage control (ACVC) loops on small-signal synchronization stability are rarely discussed in literature.

Meta‐analysis fails to show any correlation between protein abundance and ubiquitination changes

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We analyzed over 50 published proteomics datasets to explore the relationship between protein levels and ubiquitination changes across multiple experimental conditions and biological systems. Although ubiquitination is often associated with protein degradation, our analysis shows that changes in ubiquitination do not globally correlate with changes in ...

On the Synchronization of Two Eccentric Rotors with Common Rotational Axis: Theory and Experiment

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 2016
We study synchronization of two eccentric rotors (ERs) with common rotational axis in the vibration system of the far-resonant spatial motion. We deduce the dimensionless coupling equation of two ERs with applying the average method of small parameters ...

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

Synchronization time in a hyperbolic dynamical system with long-range interactions

open access: yes, 2010
We show that the threshold of complete synchronization in a lattice of coupled non-smooth chaotic maps is determined by linear stability along the directions transversal to the synchronization subspace.

Exon 7 splicing of ERα predicts poor prognosis and increases phenotypic heterogeneity in luminal a subtype breast cancer

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
ERα splice variant ERα∆7 lacks the C‐terminus, and its expression may change phenotypes of breast cancers. Our results showed that ERα∆7 is found in the luminal A subtype, and elevated ERα∆7 levels are linked to improved cell survival with lower proliferation and migration.
